So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

"I know this is a trap....everything is a trap. Under what circumstances? The circumstance that this isn't a trap. If this is a trap, something ironic will happen to us. If it isn't, then we will see Xi...and hopefully I will be able to kill him." Rasiel said, waiting on Xander to either tell her to go on or stop her.

"So, will you let me go kill, or get killed?" She said, sharply looking at him.

"Very well then, Ember, the choice is made." Isaac's mind was suddenly flushed with a shock of electricity, putting it into a state of immediate unconscious.

 

"Recall out deal though, there will be more up ahead, and you may not like it all. Proceed when you both are ready." The door beyond where Isaac was opened, the next room seemed very dark... the next area was barely lit, so whatever lay ahead was unknown.

 

 

 

(this is starting to sound familiar)

(Hey, it ended okay last time, right? Right?)

Either Fulmen completely ignored Xi's snide comments, or he was too oblivious to the world to really hear anything. It didn't matter to him. His goal was rapidly approaching him, and yet he continued to push himself harder. That was, until he even his suppression weakened, and he began to feel pain.

No, I'm almost there. At my speed, I must've cleared at least a third of this thing in like two minutes flat. Fulmen thought, continuing up the god-forsaken stairs.

A shock suddenly hit Isaac, and he knocked out cold, falling down atop Ember unconsciously.

 

Joshua flailed his legs trying to get out of Sylar's grip, to no avail. He disappeared into the shadiws again and appeared only several paces ahead of where Sylar was. He silently cried. "Okay. Its a deal. Just don't hurt the others, please." Joshua said. He soon came to sob, but prepared himself for death. For the greater good. "Goodbye Fulmen...goodbye Yumi. Goodbye everyone. And Xander...take good care of Rasiel, like Karu would." Joshua mumbled, looking up to the darkness he had made.

Sylar smiled and walked over to Joshua. His maniacal grin slowly disappeared. Sylar had never killed anyone so young. He sighed heavily, and looked mournfully at the young boy. "You are the bravest eleven year old in the world. Sacrificing yourself for your friends is remarkable. You will know before you die, that your death saved lives. I will live up to my end of the deal." Sylar spoke in a somber, serious tone, a side of him previously unknown. Sylar used his telekinesis to knock Joshua unconscious painlessly. "Be brave my friend." He said, lowering his hand to Joshua's chest. He used his telekinesis to slow down Joshua's body processes, and eventually shut down every cell in his body. Such a brave soul did not require desiccation. Joshua's power now his, Sylar took them both out of the pocket dimension, leaving Joshua's body with Rasiel and Xander, before shadow-travelling away.

"Rasiel, I.." Interrupred for the third time!!

 

He turned to the dissipating shadows

Joshua was now dead. A soft and faint smile across his face, and his eyes closed, he rested in death. To Fulmen and Yumi, he hoped for the best. The two should make it out alive with no worries nor regrets, living together happily. Hazimie was never seen dead by Joshua, but to him, it'd be best for him just...to survive and live out with whatever he did want to do. Humm, he was a child too; Humm needed to live life to the fullest: what Joshua wasn't able to do. Joshua never knew Xi though. Never met him. Never heard him.
He also wished to help Rasiel. With Karu gone, she would be in distress still. Xander and Joshua could've both comforted Rasiel in her dilemmas. But now...hopefully she'd be happy with Xander too. Make it out alive-- both of them. And...if reincarnation was true, then...maybe...Karu, Rasiel, and Joshua would be able to meet again. In a happy, new life.
There was nothing to worry about now. For Joshua, this was the end of the world.


 

Sylar opened the dimension-portal again, throwing something on the ground. A small, frial, helpless body. Tears yet again formed in Rasiel's eyes.

"Joshua..." She said, barely hearable.

Rasiel dropped to her knees, her hand slipping out of Xander's.

"Three....three people dead today.....my brother....one whom I barely know yet he saved us from being shot....and Joshua...the one who saved my brother...and healed his body after his death." She said.

Rasiel's mind went blank, what could she do now? Nothing.

"Why does Xi...have to destroy them?" She said, tears now falling down her face.

"I wish they would die..." Rasiel mumbled.

She looked at Joshua, a weight pulling on her arms and legs, telling her not to move, just to forget about everything.

Rasiel didn't budge again, she just had her eyes set on the new corpse.

Humm stood there silent. There was too much death for him, he collapsed.

 

The shadowy figure stopped short. More embers leaked from his eyes. "How many will I lose? I need to free myself. I need to get rid of dastards like him!"

(Alright guys, I kinda got lost, so go ahead and kill off Luce.)

Xi watched Sylar return from the pocket dimension... with Joshua.

 

It was quiet.

 

"The elevator is ready when you are prepared."

(You sure? As far as Luce is concerned, nothing has actually happened, he's still in the room with Isaac and Ember. The only difference is that Isaac was only just now knocked unconscious.)

Fulmen's throat was parched. His legs and lungs burned from the force he pushed onto them. Yet he continued to run. The stairs seemed to never end...or did it? Fulmen could spot it.

Up there! I think I can see the exit, thank god! Fulmen thought, pushing just a bit more to quicken his pace even further. He needed to reach the top, or else the worst would happen. I feel like only a few minutes have passed. I could be wrong... Fulmen thought, desperately running, and there, there it was: the exit. The way out, and hopefully the way to protect Yumi.

Fulmen heard it through the earpeice. It wasn't Xi's voice. It was more... subtle.

 

A ticking clock.

The shadowy figure stopped short. More embers leaked from his eyes. "How many will I lose? I need to free myself. I need to get rid of dastards like him!"

"No! Go! Fulmen go!" There was a burst of flame behind Fulmen sending him flying to the exit, it was merely the force of the explosion though, he was left unscathed by the flames. The shadowy figure gave a sigh of exhaustion and relief. "I'm getting there. So are you, too, Fulmen. There are two young women who won't let you die. I'll be sure to help them, as much as I can."

Robert gazed at Joshua's lifeless body. [First Karu, then Hazimie, and now Joshua. And I'm not even sure if Locke, Fulmen, and Yumi are alive or not. Xander Ransiel, Humm, and I may be the only sane ones left, asuming Ransiel is still sane, that is.] He could still remember clearly the first time he had seen Hazimie and Joshua. Ever since he had whitnessed the two of them use their powers, he felt that he was the weakest. And yet he was alive, while they were dead. This madness needed to stop.

 

He then gazed at the floor. There were still a few weapons that were left over, one of which caught his eye. It was a sword inside of it's sheath. It had a grey-blue hilt, and a silver wolf's head at the end. He picked it up, attached the sheath to his bealt, and drew the sword. 

 

Robert turned towards the others. "Allright, the time has come. Too many lives have been lost today, and I don't want anyone els here to die anytime soon. I'm probably the weakest one here, and I'm sure all of you know that. But wheather I have to fight to get off of this island or not, I am determined to get out of here alive, and to help you three leave as well. So if you don't mind I'm gonna have a nice little talk with Mr. Xi."

 

With that he sheathed his sword, and walked inside the elavator.

Kijiya arrived at the Laboratory while taking Hazimie's dead body."Xi....here,i got something you want to Experimenting it..."Kijiya said as he see no one at the lab.Then,he handed over the Dead body as if he was throwing garbage on the floor."Looks like i gotta find him...."Kijiya said,leaving Hazimie at the Lab and enter the Elevator again.He thought about what Hazimie said."Humans....i don't understand them..."Kijiya said as he then arrived the destination."Master Xi,i have sent that 'Trash' at the Labratory...."Kijiya said as he have meeting with Xi face-to-face and talked about Hazimie that has been sent to the Labratory...

(R.I.P. Joshua)

 

Tears began to blur Xander's vision when he realized what he was looking at.

It was the body of Joshua, who was no longer living..

 

"Joshua.." He said quietly as a tear slid down his cheek

 

"He almost looks.... Happy.. And there doesn't seem to be any external damage to his body.." He said to himself curiously

 

"Thank you, Joshua.. For all you did for us.."

 

He looked down to Rasiel

 

[You jumped into a one-on-one battle with that monster to protect us.... Whatever happened in there.. You saved us, I hope you know that.. Joshua] With that thought he raised his left hand and used his telekinesis to start breaking up the ground next to Joshua's body

 

He lifted the chunks of ground up into the air, the rectangular hole he had made was about five feet deep

 

He used his right hand to lift Joshua's body, and then gently lower it into the hole

 

He started grinding up the chunks of ground until they all formed one dirt-like mound

 

He slowly lowered it into the hole, giving Joshua a proper burial, or at least the best he could do under the circumstances

 

"Rest In Peace.." He said as the hole was completely covered

 

A few more tears slid down his cheeks and he put a hand on Rasiel's shoulder

 

[Xi..!! Why??..]

 

He heard Robert speak and looked towards him

 

"Robert, you can't go alone.." Xander's eyes were red and watery

A faint smile crossed his lips, the first he had in quite a while. He turned to Xander, "In that case you might want to get on the elavator before it goes down."

Bam. Fulmen burst forward, scrabbling the last few feet to reach the end of the stairs. He didn't stop there. He furiously looked around, trying to ensure that it was in fact the surface, and there wasn't some button or level to use to stop Yumi's impending demise.

"I...I made it..." He rasped, lurching forward as a bit of blood ran down from his mouth. He was alive. That much was certain; but he still pushed his body to the point of injury.

Tsuna opened her eyes lazily and got up off the floor. Where is Ren, Neisan, and that Lira person, she thought as she stretched out her arms. She heard noise coming from outside and she became more alert now. "Guys..."she muttered and made her way to the door of the shed that lead outside. When she opened the door, her eyes seemed to have automatically widened in utter shock. "Sikota..." she said as she closed the door behind her and made her way closer. Impossible, she thought, how is he here?! She looked over at Ren to see he was pointing a gun at him. "Is that...a fake ?" she asked Ren. She looked back at the Sikota lookalike and her hands went up into flames. "W-who are you?!"
