So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

The was silence all around Fulmen. He now stood in the middle of a grassy field.

 

"She's alive. Congratulations. The toxins will not be released into the room. Yumi will be safe for now. This is certainly not the end of possible threats to her life, but they are no longer your concern. You won, if you have not forgotten, the fight against Yumi. As such, I award you with time, time to do whatever you wish. This field is fenced in by a high fence, there is no method of escape besides the gate to your east, which you may enter through at any time. You may continue whenever you wish, but you are free to stay here for the time being, while your friends take part in their tests."

 

 

Tsuna opened her eyes lazily and got up off the floor. Where is Ren, Neisan, and that Lira person, she thought as she stretched out her arms. She heard noise coming from outside and she became more alert now. "Guys..."she muttered and made her way to the door of the shed that lead outside. When she opened the door, her eyes seemed to have automatically widened in utter shock. "Sikota..." she said as she closed the door behind her and made her way closer. Impossible, she thought, how is he here?! She looked over at Ren to see he was pointing a gun at him. "Is that...a fake ?" she asked Ren. She looked back at the Sikota lookalike and her hands went up into flames. "W-who are you?!"

(Good to have you back, things are just getting interesting)

(Not the most rewarding rest stop compared to what airstrip/radio tower group (don't know what to call them) but hey, alone time for them and my shipping)

Filmed nodded once at Xi's words. He was glad that Yumi was safe, causing his to crack a small smile. He coughed up a bit of blood, laying on his stomach out of tiredness."Just give me a moment....if I could see Yumi, that would be great."'Fulmen murmured, wiping the blood from his lip.

(Wake up and snuggle?)

(As much as Fulmen would enjoy that, I believe he and Yumi are separated.)

Ren lowered his gun, confusion contorting his face.  "But I don't understand."  He turned to Neisan skeptically.  "Listen, you got knocked to the ground, are you sure this isn't the real Sikota?"  Because, from Ren's point of view, he looked just like the guy.  Same confidence, same bravado.  However, he knew anything was possible on this island, and that a Sikota duplicate wouldn't be beyond Xi to come up with.  Xi's reasoning for doing so, however, still evaded him.

 

"If you're the real Sikota," Ren began, his voice mocking, "then you're going to be answering some questions for us."

 

(P.S.: Glad to have you back, Gumi.  I was missing Tsuna, haha!)

"This isn't the real one. Just for a second, I saw a blue flicker, which resolved back into this shape. I've worked with tiny machine parts for years, and I've trained myself to pay attention to even the smallest detail. My eyes catch everything." Neisan turned back to Lirakota. "Your going to tell us everything." Neisan noticed Tsuna had joined them. "Or Tsuna here will light a little fire under you."

(Yumi will have a test coming up soon, no worries.)

(Oh,well post when ever you want about that. O-o )

"Fine! Fine, sure, whatever...! Just keep the guns away, 'kay? Thanks." Sikota said to Ren, Neisan, And Tsuna as they interrogated him. He rubbed his eye after, waiting for the interrogation, right when Tsuna turned all agressive. "Really...? Again? I'm Sikota! Aren't you guys happy to see me alive again?"

Truthfully, Ren didn't know what to believe.  He knew Neisan wasn't lying to them, yet proof was something he could hardly ignore.  This Sikota replica was doing a fine job if he were indeed a fake, though Ren didn't know how to tell for sure.  It was possible Neisan was confused and hadn't truly seen anything at all.

 

"Tell us why you 'died,'" Ren challenged.  "And what your final words were."

 

Still, Ren knew it could be false.  If this Sikota were the incarnation of Xi, then chances were it'd know everything anyway.

(It was an epic line, if I recall.  Only I feel pretty bad for poor Cloaked Schemer, if he's got to go look it up.)

(Since Lira copied our memories, she should know. Your right, Schemer's going to have to look it up.)

The fire from Tsuna's hands had died down until it was just dim glow of light. Can that fake really answer that question, she thought, no...it's impossible, unless that really is an incarnation of Sikota. She took another good look at him. He was just as Tsuna remembered him before he was shot to death by Xi and his attitude was the same also. How does Xi do it, she thought and nervously waited for the Sikota lookalike to answer Ren

Sikota struggled with the decision. "They aren't going anywhere!" He smashed his gun and dove toward the two of them. Landing in front of Tsuna, he was ready to take any and all fire for her.

 

 

"I..." Sikota started. "I guess my protection ends here, my sweet." He smiled. His last words were unheard as his yellow eyes were closed.

The Experiment had claimed its first life.

Sikota's final actions and words.  Sorry about sending you on a wild goose-chase, Schemer.  You see, Ren's not the brightest of people.  (He'd probably shoot me for saying that.)

(I was busy replying to my RP, so I wasn't on any goose chase I actually looked it up preemptive to Lira transforming into Sikota. But thanks!)

 

Lira/Sikota sighed. "Of all things you think I'd forget?! I died...protecting Tsuna. And my last words were I guess my protection ends here, my sweet." He sighed with relief now. "Is that good enough?"

Neisan was bewildered. He had seen the blue flicker, but this person knew Sikota's last words. "If Xi sent you, he could easily have told you Sikota's last words. I don't trust him or you. I need absolute, indisputable proof if I'm going to accept you." Neisan made a motion as if raising his lasers, to threaten Lirakota. "I just don't know." Neisan thought. "I can't accept anybody who claims to be Sikota, not after what I said to him after his death. There must be some break in this, this, whatever it is we're talking to."

(you forgot the words that Tsuna saw, but no one heard. Call her out Gumi!)
