So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

Ember created a shield on her off-hand, and proceeded to block and parry every strike. After the barrage was over, she stepped backwards, looking to Fulmen. As he threw bolts of electricity and an electric punch. "You got some moves Sparky!" She called to him, a grin on her face. This fight just felt a lot more even, especially since she still felt good, and her power wasn't drained.

Lupus shook off her sleep, and looked around her. There was another unconscious girl next to her, and two other people standing a little ways away. "Where the flip am I?" She muttered to herself, confused. Lupus stood up, and sighed. Last thing she remembered was chiding Ember about getting caught. She couldn't keep turning prison walls to air the rest of her life. That's when the water rushed into the area. Immediately, Lupus reacted, adapting gills like a fish. She dived into the water, and breathed normally.

"Well, damn." Isaac remarked after Lira basically disintegrated from existence. He whistled sarcastically, as well. He then looked back to the pale, lifeless Joshua who had almost no will to go on in life. He used what small amount of energy he had to cling onto Isaac. "Still hungry? I should've gotten a bigger tail piece. Now it's gone." Isaac said. They both looked ahead, past the ashes of Lira. "R-Rasiel...Xander...." " Joshua uttered. Isaac looked at the group ahead. "There's another birdboy. I can get you some dinner here." Isaac said, referring to Humm. Joshua didn't respond directly, and barely heard it, but still looked ahead. "Robert...Humm...where's Yumi...and Ful..men...?"

Kijiya received a full electric shock damage by Fulmen's attack and his body became paralyzed."Never thought that you guys was this strong....Let's see if you handle this..."Kijiya said as he then pick another 2 swords and wielding two swords on each hands and pick one more sword and pick by using his mouth."I will kill you.....to many pieces!"Kijiya said as he then charge with full speed and attack on them...

Simon grabbed Yum and ran towards Rose and Lupus. When they were close enough, he let Yumi go and smacked the ground. A flurry if thick branches and vines grew over and around them until they were safe inside the airtight botanical dome as the water crashed int the room. He pushed onto the ground again. After a few seconds, he lowered the front side of the dome to reveal an extension of the encasement. "Okay, we have limited air, whenever I extend this, the water on the inside is absorbed and we have that much extra air. Earthing shouldn't be a problem. I guess what we should worry about most is how far we go and where..."

"Um,real life water bender here~" Yumi said and laughed.

"I could just as well get rid of all the water." She said.

Let me?" She asked.

Xander let go of Lira and mostly blocked her hit with his telekinesis. He stood next to Rasiel, his defenses ready. Lira started spawning strange, seemingly living, people that resembled thier friends that had died. Xander was about to start attacking when Lira suddenly yelped in pain.

 

Confused, Xander still remained ready as Isaac was revealed

 

 

"No way.. is that.. Joshua..??" His mouth dropped in shock "That guy.. he's feeding Joshua Lira's tail, and he's eating it" Xander was talking to himself. He couldn't believe what was transpiring before his eyes.

 

"Who are you??!!" He finally spoke up "What are you doing with Josh.." (The famous Xander interruption, ) He was interrupted when Xi spoke. Xander turned back to the dark figure, who was now standing. He gaze shot quickly back to Lira as the three projectiles Xi launched hit her. When the shots exploded, he put up a telekinetic shield to block any Lira matter that flew at them. He turned back to Xi once again

 

[What the heck??!! Xi just destroyed one of his own??!! ..I'd thank him.. but I get the feeling that the bigger monster just ate the smaller one. And who is this grey haired man???? He has.. Joshua. He fed him, and it looked like he ate it. That's not possible!! Joshua is dead!! I burried him myself!!] He quickly turned his attention back to the strange man holding Joshua's body.

 

His face was bewildered, and angry

 

"Who are y.." He suddenly stopped, his eyes widened and his mouth dropped again

 

Joshua was speaking.. he couldn't make it out too well. But he thought he was calling him and Rasiel

 

"J.. Joshua!!" He called out. A smile almost cracking on his face

 

[Could he be alive???? Did that man save him somehow??] He was almost lost in his thoughts. But he remembered Rasiel, she was still in danger!! He turned back to her, getting on one knee.

 

{Rasiel.. can you hear me??} He tried to send through tele. He was afraid to examine her wound, thinking it might hurt her even further

Rasiel responded to Xander's call, her eyes opening and she about purposely slapped Xander in the face. 

"I'm alive...gosh...thanks to the last minute demon transformation and your now destroyed shirt...I'll eventually make you another shirt with the same powers that turned Karu into a cat for about three minutes..it was rather hilarious and eventually if you piss me off, then I'll turn you into a cat for five minutes or something worse. Xander you are such an idiot...you're pretty lucky you didn't get killed. Thank you though Xander..." Rasiel spoke, carefully leaning herself up, clenching her teeth doing so. 

She looked over at the half destroyed room, a mix of Lira and her blood stained on the ground in a couple of places. 

"Xi. We aren't cleaning up this room you slave driver..." she snapped, looking up to the glass enclosure Xi was in. She turned her head, staring at the people in the room. There was an older man with a haunting figure in his arms...Joshua. 

Fear of the fact she did stab Joshua's fake creation Lira made conquered her, fear Joshua would be mad at something that really never happened to him. Rasiel changed into her stuffed rabbit form, Xander's shirt slipping off of her waist as she did so. 

"For now I will be in this form unless I have to change into another form..." she said a bit bluntly, hopping on Xander's shoulder, attempting to hide from Joshua. 

 

(Yes...Rasiel is not in a good mood right now...)

Xander was relieved when he saw Rasiel wake up. He was, however, a bit dismayed by her comment and threat. He stood up

 

"An.. idiot..??" He looked down at his naked torso. Suddenly embarrassed he crossed his arms as his face flooded with a bright blush "It was.. all I could think of.." He said looking away from her.

 

"But, you're welcome" He said looking back to her as she sat up, painfully. "Woah, careful!! Don't be moving to much" He said getting back on his knee

 

She then turned into her rabbit form and jumped on his shoulder

 

"Hey, hey, hey, hey" He said frazzled, standing back up. He used his telekin to rip off a small piece of his shirt and tie it around Bunny Rasi's waist as he sighed. "Stop moving so much. It's not safe with your injuries.." He said caringly.

 

He noticed she was trying to hide.

 

"Ya.. it's the real Joshua" He said seriously. "It's not one of Lira's tricks. But.. there's something.. wrong with him.. I can't explain it. But I can feel it"

"If your that embarresed I can make you a shirt right now Xander..." Rasiel said, looking at Xander rather bluntly.

"You're too overprotective of me..." she said quietly.

Rasiel was silent, glaring sharply at the other man.

"Shall we make an appearance to them?" She asked quietly.

"Xander...just let me turn into my demon form and make you a shirt...this is getting embarrassing..."

"Eh..." Her large black eyes fluttered. Heavy...it was very heavy causing her eyes to shut back. She wannted to open them. To escape...to....to finally see the world she's been waiting for! Even though her ears would not hear she could sense things...many things around her.

The questions pounded...but still nothing... Her eyes would not open. She groaned but still nothing. The girl then tried to gain control of her hand...ever so slowly...

Isaac, still carrying Joshua began walking towards the group. The demonic Rasiel, the naked Xander, the quiet Robert, and of course Humm— Joshua's birdboy of a next meal. Joshua was still pale and lifeless as ever, his eyes occasionally flashing the same gray of Isaac's eyes and hair. "Before I even try, who's going to be the first to fight back?" Isaac scoffed confidently. He looked down at Joshua and nudged his head, Joshua's eyes flashing gray again as a gigantic shadow slashed down at the more vulnerable Xander and Rasiel.

With Humm now seemingly older, his wings were not only larger, but much more flexible, the turquoise triangles extended in front oh him, blocking the shadow strike. He turned back."Rasiel, this kid was your friend, but he seems long gone now. I'll go for the geezer initially but he seems too strong. I need your permission to take him out if I need to."

'Why my permission...expect...Humm has dedicated himself as my servant...' Rasiel gave a slight nod.

Not hesitating any longer, she changed into her demon from practically on Xander's shoulder. To keep herself from literally crushing him by the weight of this form, she simply moved herself down to the ground, taking the remains of Xander's short, she began to mend it back together in a blur of light looking magic, she was completely ignorant of the fight that was beginning between Humm and Joshua.

In a couple of minutes, she had a new, clean, shirt identical to Xander's other one, using her simple demonic abilities to captivate Xander in the shirt.

"There. Now. Do your 'job' and protect me since apparently I am too injured." Rasiel said bluntly, changing into her rabbit form again, hopping on Xander's shoulder...again.

'I am such a liar...I don't even want to move..I've had far to much of this...I'm pushing myself...what is my problem?!' she thought hesitantly.

Ember destroyed her own two weapons, and turned herself into air, and all the attacks went straight through. As the barrage ended, Ember became herself again, and grinned at Kijiya. "Cheap trick huh?" She said, before changing her enemy's swords into air. "Now it's my turn." She said, bringing out two tonfas, and began an attack combo with various weapons, daggers, bowstaff, spear, sword, and knuckles.

Lupus stood up in the dome, looking at the three people around her. She undid her gills, and began to speak. "Botankinesis. Not bad." She spoke seriously, then turned to the other girl who had said something about powers. "Hydrokinesis. Very helpful. Especially in this situation. If you could just undo all the water please?" Lupus spoke, seriously. She had never been as good at reading powers as Ember, but if these people were just going to give her information to two people they didn't know, she was happy to receive it. Obviously, these two were very trusting, quite a weakness if she did say so herself.

"Thanks, Humm" Xander said after he blocked Zombshua's attack "Boy, you grew up fast!!" Xander had just noticed Humm's transformation. Just a few moments ago he had the appearance a small boy, now he looked at least Xander's age, if not older

 

"Hm" Rasiel got off off his shoulder just as she turned demon. "You were serious????" He asked, surprised as she began using her powers to make him a new shirt

 

When she was finished Xander examined the shirt a bit and then looked at Rasiel

 

"My job???? I wish!! You don't pay me.." He teased. "But honestly, thank you, Rasiel" As he said this he sounded serious. But the tone of his voice quickly changed to sarcasm. "How ever could I have protected you with a cold, exposed chest?? Now that I have niiiice, waaarm shirt on, nothing can stop me!!"
