So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

Rasiel smiled, someone else she could bug to death. She was still in her demon form, which was rather annoying in fact. She quickly changed back into her normal human form. She quickly hugged her brother, happy he lived...happy everyone lived. She grabbed his hand, dragging Karu behind her to Yumi's side. 

"We do all need to rest. Yumi...was it? I am Karu Kasaragi. Rasiel's brother." he introduced. 

Rasiel stared up at Fulmen, still leaching onto Karu. 

"Who are you?" she asked, a bit overprotective. 

"What powers do you have?" Rasiel asked. 

Yumi nodded."You tired too,or am I boring you to death." She teased him.

She laughed a care free laugh. "I guess that I can finally be myself." She then yawned.

"Yeah. Where can we rest?" She asked.

A slight flush came to Fulmen's face; cracking a smile at Yumi's words. "Hah...I guess so...but..uh-" He was going to continue his sentence, but at that point Rasiel came over with some other person.

"I..um...me?" Fulmen asked, "I'm Fulmen. My power revolves around lightning." Fulmen explained, looking at Rasiel worriedly.

"Rasiel...you're freaking him out..." Karu sighed, pulling her away. 

"Lightning, Lightning, Lightning. Technically you could kill all of us." Rasiel said with a creepy smile. Now she was just TRYING to freak Fulmen out.

"Shut up Rasiel..." Karu snapped, electrocuting Rasiel by her collar.

"OUCH, WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" she yelled.

"Do you LIKE freaking people out?" he snapped. 

"Gah, You almost ready, Sai?? Fulmen's getting all the action"

Xander said with a slightly distraught look,

Yumi sighed. "Rasiel he won't hurt you brother,okay? Oh. Hi Karu,nice to meet you. Fulmen don't worry she can't hurt you." She tried to calm them all down as fast as she could.

"Now I think a new test should be coming soon and I think it would be better to team up and work together." She tried to look very calm.

"Working as a team is the only way to stay safe." She told them all.

However, when Robert looked under one of the seats he found.....

 

.... a radio! Well, not quite. It was a walkie-talkie, and it seemed only able to communicate with one other of the same type. There wasn't another walkie-talkie around though, nor was there any sign of communication from the one under the seat. Nothing else seemed out of the ordinary about the jeep.

Fulmen nodded once, his smile returning.

"I agree. We really should get acquainted with one another. It'll make it easier for the coming tests- and being in a group provides it's own set of benefits." Fulmen said, wishing that he wasn't covered in sweat and dirt; He might look slightly better if he wasn't covered in grime.

[Yes! A walkie-talkie!] Robert thought, and ran over to the other jeep. There, he found another walkie-talkie just like it under one of the seats. 

 

He then went over to Fulmen, Karu, Ransiel, and a girl he hadn't met yet to tell them of his discovery.

Gimme a break! almost done! try to fix a engine with tools that vanish each 4 minutes!!

I said all annoyed... well at least I was trying to...

"this connects here... and this with that...." 

Then every pieces were connected to the engine. 

- Try to turn on! I said to Xander, hoping it would began to move... and to meet the others too... 

From where he stood, Ren could hardly make out the battle that had taken place along the outskirts of the airstrip.  Sikota and another guy whose face he did not recognize were going at it rough.  It wasn't long before--to Ren's great astonishment--the newcomer blasted Sikota down, leaving him on the ground where he remained quite still.  Eerily so.  Ren turned to Tsuna and Kilek urgently.  "I'll be right back.  I'm going to go check on that," he muttered, dropping the key into Kilek's palm before darting over to survey the damage.

 

It only took a single glance over Sikota for Ren to understand he was wounded.  And badly.  "He'll need medical aid if he's going to last for long," Ren thought to himself.  Once the shock finally sank in, Ren turned to face Neisan, rage starting to furrow his brows and ignite his clear-blue eyes.  "You," he growled lowly, teeth clenched, hand rising above his head.  "Why did you do this?!"  

 

And with that, his anger got the better of him.  He unleashed a gust of wind that brought Neisan ten feet up into the air before slamming him back down.

"Sorry for the rush" He said sincerely to Locke

 

Xander Opened the door and got into the vehicle

As he reached for the ignition he noticed something..

 

"Crud" He muttered to himself pulling his hand away from the empty ignition

 

He slightly lifted himself out of the car and turned towards the group of talking people

 

"HEY, ELECTRO!! CAN WE GET A HAND OVER HERE??" He shouted to Fulmen

Sikota coughed. "No worries, Ren, I'll be fine." He struggled to get up and fell beck into a sitting position, I Instigated this and I would say I got what I deserved. I should be fine." His wings gave a weak flutter. "But my wings'll definitely take a lot more time to recover." He chuckled. "Besides, it's better that I got hit with the blast than you all did. You three were right behind me, I couldn't risk dodging it."

(After the battles, everyone has settled down a bit. Ember (who was on the beach) went into a secret passageway underneath the sand that opened up. Yumi traveled to the decaying house due to the sound of lightning, and everyone there is now looking to install engines they found into some engine-less jeeps to move deeper into the island somewhere. On the airstrip Kilek found a key to one of the bunkers in the tank, but since that point everyone has been watching the battle between Neisan and Sikota, where, in the end, Neisan badly damaged Sikota for a moment. )

Neisan flew high into the air, but flipped back and landed expertly. "Wait, stop! I didn't mean to injure him that badly!" A look of remorse was on his face.

(He was on the beach but went to the airstrip, where he fought Sikota and then came back into play after the tank battle for a little while.)

Neisan lifted his remorse-filled face to the sky. "Xi, whoever you are, you need to help remedy this! You said you were fair. I didn't mean to injure Sikota this badly. I didn't know he was already injured. It's only fair that you should provide us with some way to help heal him!" Neisan stood up with a defiant look on his face. "It doesn't have to be easy to find or acquire, but at least put some kind of medicine somewhere on this godforsaken island!"

How humorous.

 

Neison was responded to by only silence for a moment.

 

Then the all-too-familiar voice buzzed in, only in Neisan's earpiece.

 

"The only way out is forward."

 

Terse. Simple. The door to the bunker stood eerily still across from the group.

The fire in Ren's eyes faded, the rage slowly receding from his face.  He stared at Neisan disbelievingly before finally shaking his head.

 

"Fine, I'll believe you didn't mean to do this.  But I'd suggest you learn how to harness your powers a little better next time, so 'accidents' like these don't happen again."  Turning his back on Neisan now, Ren's eyes shifted to Sikota, who was now sitting upright.  While his injuries were perhaps not critical, they were still far from pleasant.

 

"There must be someone on this island that can heal you," Ren reassured him.  "We just need to find them.  Do you think you can stand?"

"Xi just told me the only way out is forward. We must have to continue these 'tests' of his if we're going to heal Sikota." Neisan turned to Sikota. "Are you well enough to walk? We need to go down into the bunker. And it's not like you'll be using your wings down there anyway. Here, lets take you shirt off so we can get a better look at them."

Sikota jumped to his feet but winced a little bit. "It's all good." He said. "Hey, Ren, it would seem you have power over wind," Sikota pulled his shirt off, "I think a nice breeze could speed up this recovery; or atleast get me into good fighting condition."
