Sorual 607 Posted March 7, 2013 so the 8th gen of gaming is in now (eccept the ps4 witch didnt come out yet and the rumored xbox 720) i just recently got all three consoles of the 7th and am sad that i will have to get all three 8th gen consoles now. (asuming the xbox 720 comes) not to mention i got my xbox 3600 and ps3 from a pawn shop. pawn shaps arent going to have 8th gen consoles for a while now. i personally feel bad becouse the generation that i grew up with is now ending. Weiss 8,279 Posted March 7, 2013 you don't have to get all of them. I always stick with which one I think will be the best. Wait until the new xbox is revealed and then decide which one is best to save money. I'm personally waiting before doing anything now 1 FireRubies1 reacted to this
Hei 3,233 Posted March 7, 2013 Well they've been out for long enough, it's about time we started heading into the 8th gen. But I grew up with the 4 and 5th gen, I feel worse T.T
Qrow 86 Posted March 7, 2013 I personally prefer Sony's family, for the exclusive games and stuff, but i think it's silly to buy all the 3 consoles, most of the games are the same for the 3,you should buy the one that has the kind of games and things you like... xxClouDxxmoon 901 Posted March 7, 2013 Xbox 360 kept stuffing up from the day i bought it but my wii i had from the day it came out and i loved it. And my PS3 ive had for about 2 years so i think i did good for myself. And im getting the Wii-U soon, PS4 as soon as it comes our and maybe the new xbox 1-2 years after it comes out. KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted March 7, 2013 doesnt make me sad and im not upsit i grow up on the nes and such and they ended it you ahve to move on and keep the memory I agree. Even though I began with the GBA, I am not sad that the generation passed. In fact, I am always excited for anything new.
KingdomKatherine 272 Posted March 7, 2013 the first game I ever played was Pokemon Red... (WHEN THERE WAS ONLY 150) On the Gameboy (which I still play on!) in 1999
VisitJoan 2,713 Posted March 8, 2013 You don't have to all three, considering lots of games come out on all of them and even more for both the Xbox and PS.
Oishii 3,987 Posted March 8, 2013 I grew up with a Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and the original Gameboy. I've gotten used to it. 2 darklunatic and axele reacted to this
Velvet Scarlatina 607 Posted March 8, 2013 The Xbox tends to aim towards the first person shooter fans, at least to what I've seen done with the games on that system. The PlayStation tends to explore outward into more genres than the Xbox does, so I stuck with Sony since the beginning.

axele 151 Posted March 8, 2013 (edited) You can still play those games, the gen that you grew up with will never really die, because it will always be in your heart IDK what gen I grew up with, It's really a mix between the Sega and SNES era an the PlayStation era. Both those are long gone now, but I still pick up FF VII now and again and Megaman and such. They are not common games anymore, but they are still awesome and lovely to play each time. Life moves on and so do gaming gens, as you grow and get older you'll have to learn to let the gen's that you enjoyed go by and become a memory. It's life, technology upgrades. Mario 3 becomes Mario 3D and then Paper Mario and then Mario Galaxy and so forth. Imagine life if technology didn't upgrade it would suck. Say goodbye to your cellphone, because it wouldn't exist !
