No...firetruck Slendertubbies..firetruck slender in general.

Valkyria chronicles is pretty good if you're willing to settle for an rpg. Also the Jak and Daxter games if you haven't played them. And 3D dot game heroes is a pretty cool one.

Tekken Tag 2, Twisted Metal, Demon/Dark Souls, Sly 4, Street Fighter 4, DOA5, Mass Effect trilogy, ect I could go on xD

Indie games you ask? Cave Story (you will love it), Super Meat Boy, Binding of Isaac, Hotline Miami (coming soon to PS3), Castle Crashers

No offence, but I think that your overall attitude to FPS games is too negative and generalizing. Not all FPS games are like CoD/Halo/Battlefield. There are lot games with really rich storyline and epic moments and stuff to explore. Like Bioshock franchise. Or Half Life.

Also play all of those games that Hei listed

+Tomb Raiders

+Hitman

+Deus Ex

I probably am with fps. It's just that I'm not into that sort of game play. You know what I mean?

I shall have to look into cave story.

Dustforce is another good indie platformer.

Well I can understand that. But again not all FPS games feel same ya know?

It is pretty easy to get into Cave Story, it is Freeware game for PC and you can buy Enchanted Version for 3DS if you have one.

Yeah I get that. I've tried a lot at friends's house. They just don't appeal to me.

I looked up cave story and I'm going to try that when I get home. Also castle crashers looks pretty fun.

Also I do have a 3ds. As well as ps3, vita, wii, wii u and 360(which I never play and was a total waste xD)

Castle Crashers is great, especially with friends.  Also, if you haven't played Bastion, you're missing out on a great game.

Prinny 2. The hardcorest platform game ever :3

And reeeeaaally crazy-funny.

If you think there's a shortage of good console games then... I pity you. There are some amazing games out right now.

Such as?

If you want an interesting indie game, maybe you could try Little Inferno? Its on the WiiU shop I believe, as well as Steam. Its not a platformer, if anything I would call it a puzzle game. I'd also like to say its not a game you're going to invest hours into at a time. However, it has a nice art style, getting combos requires some thinking, and the story is interesting (a bit dark, too). I'm not normally into indie games (or at least, the ones I've heard of and tried), but I really like this one.

Well, how recent are you talking? If you want the past few weeks, then you've got Tomb Raider (2013), and Bioshock: Infinite (yes, it's an FPS, but a story driven, smart, brilliant kind of game, the farthest thing from mediocre. If you want a few months back, then you've got Assassins Creed III, Dishonored, Borderlands 2, Ni No Kuni, Dead Space 3, Sly Cooper Thieves in Time, Far Cry 3... About a year back... Skyrim, Portal 2, Batman Arkham City, Uncharted 3... and this isn't even including the HD remasters and the trilogy collections like Mass Effect Trilogy, and Jak and Daxter. Hell, just about everythings got a convienient trilogy collection. Not even counting the fact that most if not all thos games I listed are sequels to other equally amazing games. Point is, if you think that games are in bad shape right now, then you're either being incredibly picky or you're just not looking very hard. There is a metric buttload of great games to play right now. In fact, the good games are outweighing the shit right now.

If you discount great games just because they don't interest you, then you've got no right to say you're "losing faith.". Try reaching out, and enjoy the wealth of great games available.

Well a lot of those are shooters. I don't like shooters. HD collections I don't really count as new. I'm actually getting really bored of Assassin's Creed. I do reach out. That's why I'm trying to find games I may not have heard of.

Give Ace Combat a try. You won't be disappointed.

Wow, never heard of the game before, but it looks like it'd be really fun.  I might check that out sometime.

Hm, that's a tricky one; there's not a whole lot of new games I'm incredibly interested in myself (this could be because I'm not that into Western RPGs, though).  There's several that are coming out at the end of the year that I'm interested in--1.5 reMIX, Lightning Returns, and Final Fantasy X HD--but beyond that I'm not too sure...  I assume you've already played all of the existing Zelda games?  Have you tried out all the Elder Scroll games?  What other games interest you that I could refer to as an example?

I'd recommend Journey.
