Hey guys, how's it going?  You know, I'm excited for KH 1.5 HD Remix, and I want to play it like crazy!  And so I've been thinking, it's highly probably that a 2.5 HD Remix shall indeed be made, and if that's the case, it will be glorious!  But what I sincerely hope is that Kingdom Hearts 3 ends up on the Playstation 3!  Because it would be a total mindfudge if, after all these years, we have to buy a PS4 for KH3!  I mean seriously, what would be the point of that, considering that 1.5 and a possible 2.5 are for PS3?  It wouldn't make sense to put 1.5 and 2.5 on PS3, and KH3 on PS4, that would just be a bummer.  Unless of course Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out for both PS3 and PS4, which would be a win win situation.  What do you people think?

I personally think that there's next to no chance of it coming out on PS3, but I would love to be proven wrong.

Haha thanks!  And I've been thinking, if KH3 indeed turns out to be for the PS4, then I'll wait for a PS4 bundle that has Kingdom Hearts 3 in it, and that way I would have the PS4 and KH3, which would be a win win for me.

I would do that! But I already preodered HD 1.5 on Amazon. If I could go back in time, I would! Haha.

I'd be surprised if it doesn't come out for PS3. Just because the PS4 is announced people are like "OP IT's coming for ps4. PS3 is dead now." The Ps2 made games long after the ps3 came out so the ps3 shall do the same. Nomura wanted to try to bring the games to one console so he'll probably do everything he can to get it on ps3. If it does come out for ps4 I suspect it'll be a dual release for both systems and the ps4 version being slightly better.

While I'm not saying it won't come out on the PS4, it's highly likely it WILL be on the PS3. They might finally do a multi-console release of sorts and put it on both 3 and 4, but it's almost definitely gonna be on PS3.

Nomura is releasing these HD ReMixes on PS3 so that old and new players can experience the Xehanort Saga on one system.

He wouldn't release all of the saga on it except ONE game. It'll be on PS3. Besides, there's almost never a KH game on a brand new system. BbS on the dying PSP, anyone? Re:Coded on DS?

There might be a chance that it comes out on both, but since Nomura said he wants the KH games to come on to one console and there's no doubt that the ps3 will still be in service for quite a while despite the arrival of the ps4, it seems most likely that KH3 will be on the ps3

I personally think it will be released on both PS3 and PS4. I think Versus XIII will end up being a launch game for PS4, with a PS3 version also available. This will allow Square Enix to move the Osaka team back to KH3, allowing for a 2015 release, early 2016 release. Considering 2015 is the last "official" year of Sony support for the PS3, this would work perfectly to complete the series on PS3, and draw the series and next saga past the "xehanort saga" onto the next generation. 

 

2015 would also make sense with Nomura's commitment to release a KH game every year. 

HD 1.5 - 2013

HD 2.5 - 2014

         (KH X [chi] is already out in beta in Japan, plus it doesnt really count as a KH game, according to square themselves)

KH3 - 2015 

 

It works out! Just my personal prediction.

It'll just be a stupid marketing move if they release it on the PS4.  People already complain that they released the games on too many different systems, they'll be risking their sales if they do that.  They can make a new Final Fantasy game to promote the PS4, not a series that already has tons of fans.  It'll come out on the PS3.

The only way we find out if KH3 is on the PS4 is if at E3 2013, the mysterious Final Fantasy is FFVS13. HD 2.5 would probably be on the PS3 just like HD 1.5.

My theory is that it'll just be put on the PS3, and the next saga will be put on the PS4, since they've never done a dual platform release before. But only time will tell I guess.
