The PlayStation 3 was first released in Japan on November 11, 2006. Kingdom Hearts II was released worldwide by the end of September. It took three years to develop. Kingdom Hearts III won't begin development until Versus XIII is finished, and as you can see we haven't heard anything about Versus XIII since January 2011 other than the game is still in progress.

April 7, 201312 yr It is more likely to be made on the PS3 because kh 1.5 remix is on the PS3 and a 2.5 remix is inevitable to be on the PS3 by the end of next year, so it would seem pointless having KH3 on the PS4 if both 1.5 and 2.5 are on the PS3 because people would have to buy another console for KH3. So surely if KH3 was going to be for the PS4 it would be more logical to release 1.5 and 2.5 on the PS4 and not the PS3

Exactly as Sora96 said. KH3 will be on the PS4. Since it will be the most powerful console yet, SQEX can do what they like on it for KH3. I personally prefer to see KH3D's flowmotion in there and the rest is completely new with a FFVS13 kick to it.
