April 16, 201312 yr How? Either way never went there. Can't find anything stating they are but if they are then that is very disappointing to hear about them being close-minded. Edited April 16, 201312 yr by Weiss
April 16, 201312 yr I have only been to Toys R Us like once and it was like when I was 5 or 6. Childhood= Not Ruined.
April 16, 201312 yr Although Toys R' Us is a children centric store it was never the sort of thing that was generally ingrained into children's nostalgia. Don't get me wrong, if Toys R' Us is in fact "anti-gay" in some way it sucks major balls, just not in that "my childhood is ruined forever!" sort of way. Learning things about Pokemon outside of the US censored stuff? Now THAT makes me question my childhood more than I'd like to admit. "What about that banned Jinx episode!?! MewTwo in the movie was made because why!?!?" Edited April 16, 201312 yr by Ruran
April 16, 201312 yr I honestly dont care if people are anti-gay, thats their choice. The same way i dont care if people actually are gay, its their choice to.
April 16, 201312 yr I loved (well, love) Toys R Us and I'm 17 lol. The fact they're an anti-gay company isn't gonna make me hate them, people are entitled to their opinions (even if they're not exactly smiled upon). Not even sure how an entire company can be anti-gay anyway, seeing as all the workers will have their own opinions on these things... unless you mean they don't hire gays. In which case that's very unreasonable and someone needs to have a word with them about that. Either way, you can't hate someone (or a company) for having a different opinion... they can think/feel what they like, that's none of anyone-elses business. As long as they don't act on it and refuse to sell to or hire those with different orientations I don't see the problem (nor do I see why it warrants an entire topic because a company happens to have an opinion that's frowned upon ). Childhood = not ruined. Edited April 16, 201312 yr by Xalaru
April 17, 201312 yr I got my first game boy at toys r us do I give a shit that they're anti gay? nope......

April 17, 201312 yr Why was mewtwo made? If I remember right I think part of the reason was because the head scientist's daughter died and Mewtwo could communicate with her from beyond the grave with his psychic powers, or something to that effect
April 17, 201312 yr I honestly dont care if people are anti-gay, thats their choice. The same way i dont care if people actually are gay, its their choice to. It's not a choice to be gay you twit. And I bet it must be nice not to care while people are getting killed, beaten, and kicked out of their homes because they're LGBT*. they are anti-gay. so what? plus this had no effect on me either. Ah yes the whole "it doesn't affect me so I don't care and I'm going to continue living in ignorance and blind" This isn't a childhood ruined for ever. This is a gut wrenching disappointment. This is fear that such big companies actually do not give a shit about me and don't see me as human. It's fear that there's actual people who support this company and others like it (Chick Fil A, etc) and don't want to treat me as human. And the people who "don't care" are just as bad because they're bystanders. firetruck Toys R Us. And firetruck the idea that you shouldn't hate someone or a company for their "opinion". Opinions can be oppressive. Opinions can be hateful. Opinions put me and other people in danger. So yeah, I firetrucking hate anyone with an anti-gay "opinion". Edited April 17, 201312 yr by Koko

Well honestly I have been harrased by gay people before, even once when I was about 5 my mum had to get security guards to kick gay people out of a shopping centre because they were following us around yelling stuff at us. And yes it has obviously been shown that it is peoples choice to be openly gay, and no im not saying people should hide that they are gay but if some to hide it and some want to show it thats also their choice.
April 18, 201312 yr It doesn't necessarily ruin my childhood, though I am rather surprised that they are anti-LGBT. After looking at recent posts in this thread, I feel that it can only go dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown from here so I am locking it. And yes, those extra "O"s were 100% necessary.
Toys ''r'' us is anti-gay
