If you want to get technical, I guess it really doesn't. But the whole point of Kingdom Hearts was to be a joint project between Disney and Square Enix, making a project that combined eastern and western influences. Just throwing something like Harry Potter in there breaks that whole ideal.

Star wars is too much like HP. Do you really wanna have there be Jedi Knights with Keyblade warriors? Trust me, SW would firetruck kh up! HP has waaay more of a Disney feel to it than Star Wars.

 

As well, they did Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch cross overed TWICE with Boy meets world 

As well, there being the whole star Wars galaxy combined with the KH galaxy with Darth Vader, etc. AND master Xehanort? HP would just be like any other world; Star Wars is a whole galaxy for crist's sake!

First off, the stories of both are confusing enough without mashing them up.

Second, whatever World they come up with would have to be visited seven times to tell the story and the fans would get tired of visiting the same world over and over again just like they have with Olympus Colosseum.

Third. Magic works completely differently in KH and HP.

Fourth. It is not Disney or Square. Disney has Marvel and Star Wars now and I don't see them coming in any time soon either. I'm pretty sure Disney and Square only want their original properties in KH and not acquired ones so I'm sure neither of them want something they have nothing to do with in it. SSB worked because it was primarily a fighter with a story that wouldn't be adversely affected by third-party additions.

Finally, I believe that it would actually destroy the series rather than make it more popular. People who have no interest in it would be even less inclined to try it if they added in HP, and fans, even fans of both, would stop playing because the purity would have been contaminated.

 

KH may have started as a Disney/Final Fantasy mash-up but it has since taken on a life of it's own. It is has become something completely different. It is now a separate entity, much greater than the sum of it's parts.

 

This is the terrible, terrible idea. As I have said before in many threads like this. "Not everything goes together like chocolate and peanut butter".

You apparently didn't actually read my post before quoting it. I said I LOVE HP. I've read all the books,even the companion books . I've watched all the movies. I've played most of the video games and that includes the original PS games that came out before the movies and Quiddich World Cup. In fact the only HP games I havn't played are the Deathly Hollow ones and the Lego Harry Potter games. I just don't think it would mesh well. How is that dissing it? I also said I DON'T see Star Wars coming into KH any time soon, nor would I want it to. And yes. magic IS that different between the series Magic in KH is extremely limited compared to HP. There are only 8 families of spells in any given KH game compared to hundreds of individual, unique spells in HP.

 

As for your "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" defense the crossovers were limited to cameo appearances. They were not a integrated as things in KH are. Roger never actually interacted with the recognizable characters and most of them only appeared in the background. Even if they had integrated them more it wouldn't affect the story as much as putting HP in KH because the whole premise was about saving the cartoon characters. Every world in Kh has an effect on the story, no matter how small.

But the problem is,Magic Spells in HP world was COUNTLESS so yeah,even if they do put HP in KH,it takes a lot of time to develop that world and will make all fans are have to wait for that game again...
