We know that Nintendo's E3 Direct is going to be an hour long romp of just games, and as it creeps closer we fully expect to see more games get some confirmed appearances in it. Today is one of those days of confirmation, as Sakurai has just announced via Twitter that Smash Bros is making an appearance with a full trailer. Previously, we only were promised screenshots. Development must be further along than any of usanticipated. The tweet translates as this, according to NeoGAF:

I have an announcement. During the Nintendo Direct to be broadcast from 11PM on the night of June 11th, the first trailer of the new entry in the 'Super Smash Bros." series will be broadcast. For the first time, simultaneously across the world! Do not miss it.

Are you excited to see Smash Bros. for the first time next week?

They are being made in LA so it has to be 2 AM here. D8

 

The XY Direct will be 9 PM EST (6 PM PST) which is good enough.
