Yes. All the Sora's you see before you are just part of my experiment to create successful homunculi-- artificial humans. Sora1, otherwise known as "Sora" was a true success, able to save the worlds many times.Admittedly however, the majority of the next 93 Sora replicas were failures, until Sora95 came along. Despite him being a success, I had to delay his awakening for a bit, so as not to harm the successful replica until more were created. Then, Sora96 came along.Sora96 was indeed a success. He is a successful homunculus. I decided to free him with false memories of the past, so he may experience new things and become what a homunculus shall soon be able to become-- a human. After all, the experiences one gets is what truly separates them from human and homunculus. Long after, I returned to my studies and released Sora95, before creating the next few.Unfortunately, I have yet to create a Sora replica with the same capabilities of Sora1. And so, I've sent the Xehanorts of Organization XIII to retrieve him, and try another experiment, what I call The Xehanort Replication Experimentation. We shall see how that goes.
