Will there be another Jak & Daxter?

 

We tried before the last of us, but given the creative direction of our games right now, trying to go more realistic with Jak and Daxter didn’t work out.

why. Pretty sure there are some well selling games that don't have realistic graphics

 

Ugh. I hate realist stuff. It's so boring. Naughty Dog was cool when things weren't realistic.

They should let the people who made Sly 4 handle it then. They did a great job with Sly, and I'm betting they could with Jak.

i would love during Sony E3 show if they show a teaser for Jak 4. 

Thank god, doing another Jak and daxter is like taking 3 step backwards for them. Let the series die. I'm happy they moved on and made much better games.

To be honest i enjoyed playing Jak3, but the series itself seems pretty pointless sometimes. Whether they make new game for series or end the series for good is not my problemand ill go with whatever they decide.

Okay what's going on in this thread? Honestly, I don't see why it has to be Naughty Dog who makes it. Somebody else could easily do it, imo. And what would be the point in just harshly ending the series?

It isn't that they feel they have to make Jak and Daxter realistic, it's that they spent a deal of time conceptualizing a realistic reboot of the series, and they didn't like the way it was turning out, so they canned it before they got it off the ground, (very wisely I might add), so when the question is asked: "Will there be more Jak and Dax?", the answer is "not for a while, because we wasted some time with that, and we're not ready to go back to it quite yet."

Because TLF was a disaster.

 

I still want my Jak where he as access to Dark sand Light forms and can channel the other Ecos in his normal form like in TPL. And keep the guns The only thing I'd keep from TLF is the Green Ammo mod (cant remember the name.) But still have Peace Maker too. And maybe the Eco Skills. Still think they should have had one for each type instead of 2 greens and 2 blues. I think Shield should have been Light and Teleport should have been Dark TBH

Oh, and Add a Light Eco Gun Mod.

I think they've talked about this before. They mentioned that they tried it, but they would only go into production if what they created felt superior to the earlier titles, or if it didn't feel like a rehash of the earlier titles. They weren't able to come up with something new and original, so they left Jak behind.

I love Jak & Daxter, but i'm thinking that series is over with.
