You get the codes in email, only if you were a Platinum member last year.

And if you're a "Selected" Platinum Member.

No problem.

Got a second one that I may post here. Not entirely sure yet.

Man, I feel so left out seeing all this happen when I don't even have an account on Club Nintendo. What a bummer. Oh well, might as well wait for the full game. If anyone has a spare code, PM it to me.

I'd appreciate a code, but not gonna beg anyone for it though. Im fine if i get it or not.

I'd give you one, but my last code is reserved.

It's fine man, i told you im ok either way.

Right. Just saying, I would have given one to you otherwise.

Also, I'll give my thoughts on the demo soon. Want to try out some characters a bit more first.

If anyone gets any spare codes, PM me.

Got nothing, not surprised considering everyone I know on FB who got Platinum got it.

I would like a spare code for the demo. If nay of you have any, PM it to me.

I wish there had been like, one other stage in the demo. And that I could mess around with the settings. But it did allow multiplayer, so I guess I won't complain too much. xD

I really liked the Villager. Super fun to play as. :D

(Oh and guys, I'm giving away a demo code, first one to respond to the status I made gets it!)

Villager was my favorite, too. :D

Anyway, as promised, here are my thoughts on the demo:

The gameplay was really nice and fluid. It was surprisingly fast for a 3DS game, and easily felt like it could have been something on a console. The speed was definitely above Brawl (I love Brawl, not being a Melee fanboy here), which was also nice. The controls took a bit of time to get used to, but when you get them down, it feels just as good as it does to play on, say, the Gamecube controller. Everything was tight, and I liked that. As for each character:

Mario: As usual, Mario was the all-around type of character. He was average in terms of everything, which is great. He moves well, and his attacks all feel great. I actually liked using him a lot, and he's one of the characters I skipped over in the past games. I had a lot of fun trying him out! His moves felt unchanged from Brawl, which makes sense. His Final Smash is as great as ever.

Link: Link felt a little slower than what I remembered, but I've always preferred his cartoon alternative, so I might just be used to that. He plays just like he did in Brawl, which is nice. He's definitely a solid character, and I had fun trying him out again.

Pikachu: I rarely used Pikachu in Brawl, but I loved using him this time around. His Thunder attack felt a lot faster in this one, which is great. He felt fast and fluid, which I like.

Villager: Villager was definitely my favorite character in the demo. He reminded me of Ness, which I obviously liked. His attacks are really funny, and at the same time, really powerful. They also feel great just to use. His tree attack is very powerful, but tough to pull off.

Mega Man: I like Mega Man, but I'm not exactly used to his playstyle. He's definitely focused on long range fighting, which we all expected. His moves are all nice, and his Crash Bomb is really fun to use (It's basically like spawning in a sticky bomb). He's going to be fun to use, but I'll definitely take some time getting used to him.

All in all, the demo was fantastic. The game's definitely living up to the hype! Can't wait to try the full thing out!

Guys, if somebody has a spare NA code for the demo, could you please PM?

My impressions of the demo:

The demo has 5 characters to play with:Mario,Link,Pikachu,Mega Man and the Villager

the stage available is Battlefield and you can play both the regular and final destination forms of the stage

the demo is the same as the Japanese one

I started playing as Megaman since he's gonna be my main,he's really good and his moves feels unique but it requires sometime to get used to,basically he controls as if you're playing a Megaman game but with Smash Bros controls and once you get used to that,he's very fun to play

Link has FINALLY become good, his dash A is very powerful and his attacks got buffed, his grab now has a good recovery time and it's a bit faster compared to his grabs in previous games

Pikachu is good too but I didn't spend too much time with him

And then there is the villager.....He has one of the most OP recoveries I've ever seen.....he can use his Up B recovery to even fly under the stage and comes back on top...his side B is also another recovery that sends him in a straight line and can be very useful when you're near the blast zone

That tree attack is soo freakin effective, more so than I expected, his side Smash deals a hefty amount of damage and that neutral B is waaaaaaaaaaaay too useful for it's own good heck it can absorb Megaman's and Villager's side smashes alongside other projectiles

If you thought those memes weren't true, boy you'll get wrecked, villager is as terrifying as he's portrayed in those memes

As for how the game feels in general,it feels like a mix between Melee and Brawl but leans towards Melee more, you can do combos(Mario has a really good combo range) and some of the techniques that you used in Melee.....the only thing Smash 4 retains from Brawl is that some characters can feel a bit floaty but not by much

Overall it controls and feels more competitive friendly than Brawl

Overall I had an absolute...and I mean ABSOLUTE blast of fun playing this demo heck I screamed like a little bitch when I got the codes....almost two hours of non-stop playing

Never before have I been excited to play a demo of a video game in my life like this and my good I felt like I'm in gaming heaven when I finally played it

I'm now waaay more hyped and excited for both the Wii U and 3DS version of Smash 4 after this and I'm gonna play the hell outta this demo until the promised day of October 3rd

Is it just me, or are the CPUs a lot tougher than they were in Brawl? It might just be because I'm adjusting to the handheld game still, but they're pretty tough. I could take on level 9 CPUs in Brawl, but Level 7 CPUs are about equal to me in this one.

The CPU are definitely a lot tougher before on level 9....even after I got used to the 3DS controls they still wrecked my shit hard sometimes.Mario in particular can combo you to oblivion sometimes and Link almost pulled all the stops to make sure I'll never land on the stage once I get out of it

id REALLY appreciate it if anyone could pm me an NA demo code. you dont have to if you dont want to but id REALLY appreciate it! :D
