I prefer Mewtwo in Smash, but I love what Lucario looks like and stuff.

 22 Smash Combatants. We've actually got a lot more to go. We're either reaching the similar 36, or we may grab a peek at 40-42 if we're lucky.

Hope Mega Lucario could be part of his final smash.

I think it's safe to say that Mega lucario will play a big role in Super Smash Bros. BUT YES! 2 of 3 of my favorite characters confirmed for this game!

Interesting, yet another character that had to be unlocked in Brawl will be in the starting roster. By the way, does anyone else think it's possible that there won't be any unlockable characters in the new games? I hope there are, but lately it seems a trend in most fighting games for every character to be unlocked from the start.

Interesting, yet another character that had to be unlocked in Brawl will be in the starting roster. By the way, does anyone else think it's possible that there won't be any unlockable characters in the new games? I hope there are, but lately it seems a trend in most fighting games for every character to be unlocked from the start.

I really want other characters to be unlockable....then again games like Tekken 6 and SF4 had their characters playable from the start so maybe this would follow suit but I'm not sure though

There's still a possibility, but since Lucario was Mewtwo's replacement in Brawl, I kinda doubt we'll get both characters. To be honest, I'm not even a fan of Lucario. Mewtwo's way cooler in my opinion.

He wasn't a replacement, both were supposed to be in Brawl, time constraints stopped it from happening though.

I actually like the aura ability Sakurai's implementing for Lucario. The more damage done to Lucario, the more damage he can release upon his foes. Lucario's a good character for those who know how to survive past 200%.

I know that, but Lucario feels too much like a replacement to me. I kinda feel like they'd only do one or the other, and not both.

It would kind of ruin the surprise of an unlockable character to straight out show them like SSB4's dojo is. They've always kept the unlockables secret, that way people don't spoil themselves if they don't want to be spoiled. Given the way this dojo's been going so far, I'd imagine that they aren't going to show unlockable characters on the dojo.

They had them on the Brawl dojo, but they had a spoiler warning before you went on their page, and they were just shown as "Secret character #" on the home page. Since we haven't seen that yet for SSB4, I'm assuming they're not going to show the unlockables, at least for a long time.

AWESOOOOOOOOOOOME. I loved using Lucario in brawl. Glad to see that he'll make a return in Smash bros. 4 (:. I will definitely use him as one of my mains in the game just like I did in Brawl.

I think that if they do post them, it would be around when the game comes out. Also, maybe if they run out of things to show us, they might start showing more of those. Those are just my guesses.

MIYAMOTO RECONFIRMS SUPER SMASH BROS WILL BE RELEASED BY END OF 2014:

 

Shigeru Miyamoto has reconfirmed that Super Smash Bros will arrive before the the end of 2014.  Miyamoto wouldn’t offer any further information, but simply said it will be released before the end of the year. Whether that’s just in Japan remains to be seen.

I believe we're looking at a Holidays release period. I'm guessing anywhere from late October to mid-December.

Well,we're getting Mario Kart 8 in May(they've recently announced it's release date few days ago) so yeah.....I can wait

Well its release month, but we're getting it either way. MK8 and 2.5 ReMIX should hold us off till Smash releases.

Thats if we get 2.5 BEFORE christmas OUT OF THE U.S. Considering how we STILL dont have a japanese release date, unless its a worldwide release date, we wont get it october or later most likely.

I honestly hope that some of the characters being shown are unlockable, because if everyone shown is a starter, that means you start the game with 5 Super Mario characters. I feel like that is just too much.
