I'm not a fan of Waluigi myself, but I mean, come on, he's important enough to have his own game and represent it in Smash. He's definitely no Daisy.

Mewtwo. I bet you all thought i was gonna say Lucas right? Well, i do want him back badly. He was my Brawl main, and my fav. character in brawl for mult. reasons. But aside from him, i'd really like to see Mewtwo come back. He hasn't been seen since Melee and he was planned for Brawl(according to the hackers, there was a slot set for him, but no char. data, same goes for Roy) and i think he should come back. Well can't say I'm happy that Ike is back at least we got one Fire Emblem character I hope for either Chrome or Marth.

Well, its more like the Mother fanbase has been shot down constantly in the past when it comes to Mother and Nintendo, and we have been dissapointed many times. We're basically the nintendo version of the mega man fanbase in a way. And by that i mean, Nintendo hasnt been all that good to the Mother fanbase for so long honestly. THings are only looking up now cause of the EB VC release, but im sure everyone would hate it if Sakurai did what nintendo has been doing to us and dissapointed us by not bringing Lucas back. Also, there are a few good candidates for Mother Newcomers, such as:

 

 

 

The first one is Jeff from Earthbound/Mother 2, who is a genius in the game. He doesn't have PSI/Psychic powers, but he can build many awesome and terrifying weapons that Lucas and Ness could never utilize. Such as:

 

* His Multi bottle rockets, which he uses when he's summoned as an assist trophy

* HP sucker, a weapon taht can drain HP from an enemy and restore HP to the user, AKA Jeff.

* Slime Generator, which temp. paralyzes an enemy

* A Bazooka

* Defense shower, buffs up Defense

 

And many other things. That being said, some liberty would have to be taken with his aerials and such, since he's obviously not an agile fighter like Ness or Lucas.

 

The second picture (and more probable candidate) is Masked Man from Mother 3. He is one of the primary antagonists of the game, who has mysterious ties to Lucas to say the least(its very spoilerish, and would be a nice touch considering Lucas is already in the game). He can use PSI/Psychic attacks like Lucas/Ness, but that's not all he can do. He also has:

 

* Shield Killer, instantly removes shield/buffs from enemies

* Laser Sword

* Mechanical wings for flying

 

And so on. He's more of an agile character, and one of Lucas's strongest adversaries in his game. Not to mention, he and Lucas share the same Psychic attack known as PK Love(which is basically an OP PSI move capable of destroying buildings and taht kind of stuff, Lucas had a nerfed version as his UP Smash move in Brawl), so yeah. He's also has very powerful Lightning/Thunder PSI that can one shot enemies. So, i think he's a more probable newcomer. I kinda doubt he or Jeff will be brought in as Mother newcomers tho.

I'm sorry but the Mother fanbase didn't get their games canceled and blamed for their cancelations like what Capcom did with the Megaman fanbase.

The fangame is still alive and they even added ridiculous amount of characters that are even from animes not games....like Goku and Naruto and I think they're working on a 3D version of it

 

The game is there to say and I doubt Sakurai has even noticed it and if he did I don't think it'll impact the development in anyway

We're talking about Mother 4. : Also, Smash Flash isn't bad. It's got a ridiculous character selection, but it's pretty fun honestly.
