I feel like not everyone there is a starting character, but it's not a bad starter roster at all.

 

EDIT: After looking at it a bit more, it's the same as that supposed "leaked starting roster" that I've heard was just an eShop image for the game. I doubt it's the real starting roster.

The only problem I see with that being the starting roster is that it's missing a lot of the regular starting characters (Yoshi, Fox, Zelda, Peach, etc.) Those 13 all seem like they could be starting characters, though.

I'm still surprised Shulk, Palutena, and the third party characters are immediately unlocked from the start, i thought they'd be unlockable. Im hoping this game has more unlockable chars. than just Lucina, DP, Dr. Mario, Duck Hunt Dog, Ness, and the unconfirmed Brawl veterans. :

 

Also, There's always Marth for you to play as until you unlock Lucina, just saying. They fight exactly the same for the most part, its just the tip/body strength thats different.

I think it does feel like fan service too, but oh well. More people would probably bitch if MM wasn't available from the start though, knowing the Smash fanbase.

Yeah, I think that not every currently announced character will be the starting roster. I think that's just so people can play as whoever they want out of the shown characters (Aside from Lucina, anyway).

2. If Chorus Kids can be in, why can't Ice Climbers? By the sound of it, they'd be pretty similar. They wouldn't drop Ice Climbers and talk about the technical issues, and include a character who's almost identical.

 

However, I would REALLY like to see Mewtwo strike back (Pun intended)... I'll stay neutral towards that leak for now. Everything else about it looks real.

I don't hate Ridley or anything... I just don't see it happening with him. He's already a stage boss, and the constant Ridley conspiracy theories are really starting to get on my nerves. The other day, I watched a video saying that the fact Sakurai never mentioned Ridley's name means he'll also be a playable character... Who would take his place as a stage boss, Alfonzo? The Ridley fans tend to go overboard a lot. I wouldn't complain if he was in, but honestly, I highly doubt he will.

Yeah, another thing that grabbed my attention is, Wolf is back, but not Lucas? Same goes for IC. That really doesn't seem right to me honestly. I mean, considering Lucas and Wolf are literally in the same boat, you'd think either both would come back, or neither would. I'm not goign to say that Sakurai's doing the popular thing with EB that Nintendo seems to do, but still.
