Posted June 23, 201312 yr It'd be great if they used this in KH 3 to create more realistic movements. I heard some FF games had this...What do you think the chances are?
June 23, 201312 yr I don't really want realistic movements in my fantasy based game. They're human so it'd make sense for them to MOVE like humans...
June 23, 201312 yr They're human so it'd make sense for them to MOVE like humans... But there are certain movements us humans can't perform. Skip to 1:53 and listen to what this guy has to say about Motion Capture. Mocap can probably be useful for more realistic games, but Kingdom Hearts is fantasy based. June 23, 201312 yr Author Which FF games had MOCAP?I'm guessing every game beyond X. "While FF7 established a new standard for movie-style storytelling and cutscenes, Final Fantasy X took things one step further and actually used motion captured actors to convey the characters’ motions during these sequences." is something I found.

July 20, 201312 yr Author Nope nope I don't need KH to be realistic thank you very muchMocap has absolutely nothing to do with graphics. I'm talking about how they move. The movements would probably be smoother and more life-like with it...Though there probably wouldn't be much of a difference anyways because the graphics are pretty good and would be pretty smooth without it anyways.

July 20, 201312 yr Naaaaaaaah. People in Kingdom Hearts don't really move realistically. That's part of the charm ^ ^

July 21, 201312 yr Author Like I said I don't need it to be realistic.Yeah now with the trailer out it looks pretty realistic enough anyways.
July 21, 201312 yr Naaaaaaaah. People in Kingdom Hearts don't really move realistically. That's part of the charm ^ ^ *thinks of Sora jumping like Mickey whenever he turns around* Really though, I agree. The characters are far from realistic, and I think it might start to get pretty strange if their movements were any more realistic than they already are, personally. I like them as-is.
July 21, 201312 yr Author Lets just leave kingdom hearts how it is today.Yeah the reason I brought it up is because when David Gallagher was interviewed, he mentioned that he asks the producers all the time if they can implement it in the game.
