I created a thread about the possibility of Final Fantasy X-3 and everyone keeps saying they'd rather have a prequel with Auron Jecht and Braska. I'd like to know why. We already know the story, as it was told in the spheres found throughout X and we all know how it ends. I doubt we'd learn much more than we already know. Personally I don't see how we'd get anything out of it except maybe seeing 7 year old Yuna, and the battle system would most likely be the exact same one from X whereas a FF X-3 could have a new one. Sorry, but I just don't see the appeal of Final Fantasy X-0: Braska's Journey. But I'm an open-minded person so I'd like tho here from those who do want a sequel as to why.

Yeah, it's that video that seems to be pointing toward X-3. They released some audio from it with that seems to have Tidus implying that he and Yuna are no longer together. The traslated quote is....

 

"It's been two years since Spira entered the Eternal Calm. I was given a new life. For an entire year, I was able to walk alongside Yuna. It was fun. It really was." 

 

Because Auron. 'Nuff said.

Come on people, I'm being serious. I just want to know why people would prefer a FF X prequel rather than another sequel. What would make a prequel better?

Because Jecht is one of the most interesting FF characters yet we don't know his character all that well. We see from Tidus' point of view how he was but we don't see it from his point of view. We'd get a lot more scenes about how he really felt about being lost in the world and how he really does in fact love and miss his family. Such a deep character deserves mire screen time.Auron, his transition into badassery would be a lot better if we knew saw it in fuller detail (think like how Days fleshed out Axel, we can appreciate how he's changed more)And we really don't need more stories of dancy, skimpy Yuna or Tidus or the FFX main cast when the deeper characters are still waiting to have their full story told.

I kind of agree with you, I really do.  A prequel would be amazing, to be able to see how it all really began, the origins of FFX, through the eyes Braska, Auron, and Jecht.  However, to see the story develop even further beyond what we know would offer a greater adventure, I think.  We already know how Braska's journey ended, and I think it would be much more worthwhile to see something we actually don't know the outcome of.

Yeah, I'm not joking. Auron is a badass motherfiretrucker in the FFX universe, and a lot of people wanted to see more of what he is capable of.

A lot more depth can be add to the charaters.They did it with Final Fantasy VII and we got Crisis Core,we already knew a lot about Zack but they managed to bring even more to his character.Seeing Sephiroth as a hero instead of being told that he was makes it even more sad that he became insane,it was great to see Sephiroth softer side and the same could be done to Jecht.It be nice to see him as a bad father,but a hero at the same time,there most be a lot going on in his mind and I'd like to see all that 

 

I don't NEED a FFX prequel but I'd rather have that then FFX-3,I'd like to see how Yuna grew up to because the summoner that she is in FFX,we could get more details about Shuyin and Lenne,we could learn a bit more about how Seymour became so evil.All of this would more interesting rather then and unnecessairy sequel.

They decided to take the fanservice route.

Tidus and Yuna had their stories end in X. After Final Fanservice X-2, I'd rather not have any more sequels. A prequel would be more interesting anyway, I'd love to play as Braska's group.
