ASDA to stop selling Wii U products

Posted
WalMart owns a company known as ASDA, a huge retailer in the UK with 555 stores in that region. ASDA has suddenly and completely cut off everything related to the Wii U from the consoles to the accessories eliminating it all together from their stores. Only eight Wii U titles will continue to be sold.

"Asda continues to offer customers a selection of Wii U games and accessories through Asda Direct, but these ranges are currently not on offer in Asda shops."

The retailer is not stocking 3DS systems online either - despite the handheld outselling the Xbox 360 and PS3in the UK and in the US, while 3DS software sales are outperforming the competition too.

Asda is still selling PS3, Xbox 360, and Vita, as well as several hundred games for those platforms. It is also taking pre-orders for Xbox One and PS4.Read more at:http://www.computerandvideogames.com/421340/asda-suspends-wii-u-stock/

I KNOW ASDA, I SHOP IN ASDA.

The only Asda Living Store (ASDA Living does more than just food, Asda Supermarket is only food) doesn't really sell any dvds/gaming stuff bar 2 rails of dvds (it's mainly homewares) to be honest I didn't even know they were selling them at all.  Walmat in America is like a giant chain that's both got homewares, nicknacks and food.  Asda here mainly most of them are for food purposes only.

I wasn't even aware that ASDA shops actually sell video games stuff.Do those guys have a grudge against Nintendo to not sell 3DS and Wii U products???

What a bunch of assholes, once the new titles comes out and sell like hotcakes, they'll beg Nintendo to sell their products in their shops

Nintendo had this coming :/

And so it continues.
