Do you think? (mild spoilers for those who haven't played KH1)

I felt I wanted to know what everyone here thought about here coming back from the dead. I personally would have been happier if she stayed dead, just because she has now become a side villain that sometimes helps Sora. In the first game I found that she was a good leader for the Disney villains they had, but now that the Disney villains aren't really working together she just seems displaced from her world and her storyline. It just doesn't seem right to me.So what are your opinions on the matter?Edit: fixed poll.

yes, for both of the first two reasons

No. She's too cool for that.

I think that she should have stayed dead. She fought well, but in the end, she was killed, brought back for no reason other to really be nothing more than a comedy-relief-side-villain-plot-device, her original plans failed, and she was defeated, killed, and resurrected to basically be a living plot device. NO character should be a plot-device only...

Shes Maleficent!

I highly doubt she died...

SHE IS THE MISTRESS OF ALL EVIL!

I think she should have stayed dead for several reasons:

1. I don't like it if characters die and then come back to life, that just makes death meaningless - not just for the certain character but for the whole series.

2. I feel like she was brought back just because people liked her in KH1 and not because of the story. And then she was just hanging there, with no proper reason.

3. They didn't explain how she came back

No she makes a good villain. Plus she's disney and Disney characters never die.

I shall not deny you your opinion.*looks at Bambi's mom, Mufasa, Scar, Ursala (in the movie), Kerchack and Clayton in Tarzan, Gaston, Frollo and many many more*

Yes. But I'm fine with her being alive.

maleficent. i really don't like her. but she was meh in dream drop distance for just snatching minnie. the only major significance she ever had was in kh1 and bbs. they should have just left her there because im kind of annoyed that i had to fight the 1000 heartless in hollow bastion. and whose fault was that? Maleficent's

I'm a bit torn on this one, because I really liked how Maleficent went out fighting in KH1, and thought it was a fitting end, and from a story perspective, that pretty much is the end of her character arc. On the flip side, she's one of my favorite characters, and I like having her around.

As far as the argument that she's somehow a "comedy villain," it doesn't really hold water. Mainly because she and Xehanort share the same track record of success, and no one is accusing Xehanort of being a comedy villain (other than me, of course, but I seem to be in the minority on that one).

The only thing I shall dispute, because I don't want to dispute opinions in this thread, is that I said she has been turned into a villain that must rely on a comedy villain. Though I probably should have more so said bumbling minion, Pete. Why make her act all serious and mostly how she normally is and then have her have to rely on Pete? It just makes me wonder why she keeps him around instead of searching for a better minion. Then again unlike other Disney villains, there is little to no doubt that he will never "die" in the story of worlds. Though I am not sure how permanent death is for villains in kingdom hearts since Ursala randomly came back from the dead. I don't even think there was an explanation like with Oogie Boogie.

No cause I lufff herr <3
