a war will start in the fandom and I'm sure no one wants that to happen.

Also kingdom hearts Is focused around friendship, yea there is romantic things in the game but I don't think anything romantic will go on between the main characters.

And I personally don't want them to kiss, I can't see sora and kairi more than friends.

i see them have more of a strong brother sister relationship more than a romantic one.

Wrong again. From various sources there are princesses that did get kissed that are in that age range or YOUNGER.Snow White's age: 14.Jasmine's age: 15 going on 16.Ariel's age: 16Mulan's age: 16Aurora's age: 16I believe the rest are as you said are 17 or older, and the only one I listed that didn't kiss in her first appearnce was Mulan. (or at least I don't think she kissed in that movie)

Kissing is pedo?  Tell that to all the elementary kids that kiss their "significant others" in schools all the time!  Being 18 does not automatically make you adept at love/relationships, just like being 21 doesnt make you smart about alcohol, and being 16 doesnt make you a nascar driver.  "Official ages" mean nothing and a person(s) can mature much faster or slower than what the "average law-ed age" allows.

In Japan the action of touching or hugging is reserved only for those you hold very dear.  In a way the hug we got in KH2 would be equivalent to a kiss in the west for the Japanese.  As such I can't really see a point or a reason to have them snog the face of each other in KH3 when so many battles and wars will be going on, along with a certain number of casualties (doesn't really put me in the mood like).  I think some of the western audience needs to realize that while you may hug a stranger it holds so much more significance in Japan where the scene was created.  I wouldn't mind seeing them kiss, but honestly I don't think Nomura's been driving their relationship forward enough where it should be expected.  People are always so bad at romantic development.

I didn't realize that. That explains how sometimes hugs can feel so touching (drat you English language) in some animes I watched. Though I do agree that Nomura hasn't driven their relationship forwards enough for a kiss to be expected.

It's more so the fact that the girls in Disney are sweeped in Marriage at such a young age that is taboo for our current society where Marriage should occur later in life with someone you love, generally anyone saying they're married at 16 nowadays would get odd looks like "oh they must have got drunk and done something stupid, well done them".  Furthermore soon as Ariel's marriage she got knocked up.  Two taboos there given her age. Looking at it from the outside with out societies changed views some would say Walt liked little girls and young relationships (though I don't agree with that).

 

However when the films came out generally people married young/did marry young in the years the movies are set because they would have died from disease sooner rather than later.

Kinda the same situation though, being 18 and "legally" able to marry, doesnt make you any more ready than to 16 year olds. Your brain doesn't just click when you turn 18 and say, I know what marriage means, its something that happens with love, and understanding.

 

Plus if it helps, most of these Disney stories take place before "modern rules/laws" were ever brought up/considered.  And even the ones that DO feature civilization less than a few hundred years ago old, remember that it wasn't really until the 20th century, that 18 became the Defacto married age.  Heck, its still not that way in all of America.  There are many states where 16 is a legal marriage age, just like their are many countries where you can get married before then.

This is a Japanese game. Their culture is really different from the west. Their is a lot of things that seem like why would you do that ex: Riiku's hair. It is symbolic to them.That hug was a huge leap for them. Plus, their relationship is not that far yet. So no, no kiss.

Oh for those who said it is in the manual, I just looked at ALL the manuals. It did not say jack shit about it.

Technically SoKai is prolly the most canon 'relationship' in KH. It's been more than hinted at throughout the games .However, Nomura doesn't seem to want to center KH on romance so although it would be sweet I have doubts it will happen .

Why Sora and Kairi will not kiss? Because Sora will be kissing Aqua.

But I also think it wont happend, But on the other side... If it won't happend in Kh3 it will never happend.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.

i think that sokai has a shot of happening. but there will only be hints of it in kh3. well thats what i think. Some reviewers of the kh series, the really important ones, have been asking nomura for more steam between sora and kairi. and i think thats going to happen in kh3. after all, in all of the main number games (kh1, kh2) they've done something cute together. like hugging. and saying i missu and stuff like that.

 

they're obviously (in my head) are going to hug again in kh3, but maybe we'll get something a little bigger like a kiss on the cheek. A lot of people have been asking it, and come on! i think we've gotten enough soriku crap for the fan girls in dream drop distance and kh2
