August 27, 201312 yr The have the original disc to go off of and its not that hard to reverse engineer it. Also the Osaka team did recom so they should have no problem with that.
August 27, 201312 yr I'm not disappointed. But I must say the game was built from scratch...in 2002. This was just a remaster They had to re-make almost the entire game all over again from scratch because Nomura said they lost pretty much everything they had in the servers. He said it was a huge chore. (I'd immagine so. The CGi scenes would be...*shudder*) I'm surprised they finished it this soon. It's insane. The game is humongous. O_o It's unknown so far, but I'm guessing they're doing the same for KH2. I doubt they still have that game if they didn't have the first one. Edited August 27, 201312 yr by King.Mickey

I understand what you two mean, though, but I had said, well, meant to say that now they already had everything set out and done before. No.need for storyboards, or coming up with game mechanics, and character/enemy designs, etc.

It is a more recent game though, so they may still have it.

They lost the data, but they reverse-engineered it from retail discs (it's how Bluepoint Games approach HD remasters as well, btw).If they literally remade it from scratch, it wouldn't be the exact recreation (+enhancements) as it is now.

September 7, 201312 yr I'm not disappointed with KH1.5 but with this version of Final Mix it was built from scratch so that's why Nomura thinks its completely new.
But I'm not disappointment about kh 1.5
