Linking to main story.......

Posted

Now I don't know a lot about this game, but from what I think I know, this news does not make me happy at all. Correct me if I'm wrong about anything. Now I assume this is supposed to be the Keyblade War, and if it is, then it's very disappointing & poorly executed. When I picture the Keyblade War, I see thousands of keyblade weilders fighting in a huge battle, not "cute" little characters running around fighting heartless & collecting light...when i see the Keyblade Graveyard, i do not picture what we see in [chi]……another thing that bothers me is that we don't have easy access to this game. I know many of you play it, but it just isn't worth it to me. If they are going to tie this awful looking game into the amazing story, I hope they make a Kingdom Hearts Re:X[chi] or just localize it. This game does not look good to me, but if it will be apart of the story, I do want to play & experience it for myself. Finally, it just wouldn't make sense. The Disney characters should either be very young, or not even born yet! If this really is taking place during the Keyblade War, it should be hundred of years before BBS, and I'm pretty sure the heartless should still be trapped in the RoD. Anyone care to explain how any of this could make the slightest bit of sense?

Fool. The whole thing reeks of Nomura logic.

I don't get the hate for KH [chi] at all, from my point of view this game is definitely better than Re:coded for example and often more fun to play than 358/2 Days.

Anyway, I see that things again get mixed up with the canon status of the game, so let's make it clear: Everything that happens in Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] is non-canon, it's a retelling of the Keyblade war era by Kairi's grandma and obviously (fundamentally) wrong in various parts for reasons already pointed out.

But you know what they say, there is always a grain of truth to be found in legends and this will be the connection to Kingdom Hearts III. At the moment KH [chi] introduced a new world (Daybreak Town) and several new characters (The Foretellers, Chirishii) that can definitely be part of a future game somehow, despite what happend in this game.

So don't get to upset about it before you even know what the connection actually will be.

It's not that I'm hating on it, I just don't understand how it can tie into the main story. But you're saying [chi] is the Keyblade War from Kairi's Grandma's point of view? & that this is non-canon, but some elements can be tied into the series later on?

Ima just pretend chi doesnt exist. When I imagine The Keyblade War its very dark with people dieing left right and centre.

Me too. This is a pathetic representation of "war".

That's because it's a story for children. The actual war started over the dominance of the light, which is exactly what happens in Kingdom Hearts [chi] just without the killing (for the time being).

I don't get what's so hard to understand about it. Basically there are two versions of the war: the actual thing that happened in the past and we'll never really know about for various reasons and the story that is told in Kingdom Hearts [chi]. Now both the actual war and [chi] have elements that overlap like the fight for the light and another of these elements will overlap with Kingdom Hearts III even if it plays out completely different.

Lets see how the mastermind links it. It will be interesting.

This is my opinion as well. I don't think All of it is what actually happened in the war, just some part of it like the mysterious figure, foretellers and chirishii.

I understand all the concerns but really I think we should wait and see what the connection actually is.

Its just a spin off, i'm just pretending it doesnt exist.

I dont think it will be part of the actual storyline. They just made it so they can say that there is a KH MMO :P

It isn't even an MMO haha

I'm pretending it doesn't exist and thinking of KH1.5 and KH2.5 in 2014.

I think we will find more information about  the X-blade. As the game is named to X.

Well for starters, look at your starting Keyblade, the Starlight.  While it does look like the Kingdom Keys, it was meant to collect Light, making it an imitation of the χ-Blade.  The χ-Blade was initially made to protect the light that resonated from within Kingdom Hearts, so that none could ever lay hands on its mysteries. But in time, the World was overrun by legions who wanted the light all for themselves, and the first shadows were cast upon the land. These warriors crafted "Keyblades" in the image of the original χ-Blade, and waged a great war over Kingdom Hearts.

Now what is it that Strlight does, other than defeat Heartless?  Collect Lux (light in Latin).  And that party that helps you out during some boss fights?  Something inside me says that the climax will occur at Sunset Horizons and all of you end up killing eachother.

In short:  This game is connected to canon in that it's leading up to the Keyblade War.
