The wind blew softly over the island. Besides the soft swaying of the trees there was little to disturb the idyllic serenity here. The island stretched out for miles, but at the coasts there was nothing to see but water. The island, like the universe in which it existed, was nearly empty, the remnants of life clung, decaying, to its shores and its trees and its fields, but the yells of excitement, of fear, of courage that has once complimented the sound of the wind ha since faded to echoes. Today, however, that changed. Today life returned to the universe. The only question is; what kind of universe would it return to?

 

"C'mon, get up!"

"All of you, wake up."

"Rise and shine, it's a new day."

 

Far away voices entered the hazy minds of those sleeping on the island.

 

Lying on the shore of a short beach was Seraphim Valentine, Derik Absolon, and Samantha Allison, and Rodin Seefull. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Lying in the middle of an airstrip surrounded by jungle was a different group. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay Alex Dimanche, Ferro al'Vere, and Hazimie Azhar.  Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four people; Rija Mors, Terry Frost, Henko Tenioenai, Koizumi Onnea, and Rin Nozomi Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an immaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

The far away voices slowly awakened all of these people. The clouds in the blue skies above moved slowly; the morning was upon them. It was time to wake up and find the future...

Rin glared at Henko.

"Get the damned thing offfff!!" She complaint, surprised by a new arrival.

The grip on her leg was loosening, but still it was attached onto it. What a disturbing feeling.

Alex rolled one way, the small pistol-like gun in his hands. During his time he learned a lot about robotics and engineering. He knew what made a robot unstable, and how to short a circuit. Scowling, he shakingly aimed the weapon at the mech.

His hands barely made it possible to aim; but he managed. His first objective was to aim for the circuits leading into the head. With luck, he's fry the robot's visual receptors. He grimaced as the pistol let lose a bolt of plasma; the gun kicking back. Alex winced as his arm jolted....

Ferro leaped off the tank as soon as it began moving, his boots dispersing the force of the fall. He watch with a mixture of fascination, dread, and concentration as a huge mechanized human shape assembled itself in front of his eyes. His scan of the thing gradually showed points where he could place portals and revealed how all the pieces connected and worked together. A grim smile formed on his face even as a plan took shape in his head. One of those flat places a portal could be was right next to the gloved man. Ferro fired twice, once next to the man, once underneath himself, and as he exited the portal, he kicked the man off his perch. "I think I'll take a ride on your mech, here, see how much I can tear off of it." Ferro began firing at parts of the mech, using the D-ppendage's matter mover to rip off an armor plate here, some wiring there. He threw the larger pieces at the mech's arms to try and incapacitate its machine guns.

Henko carefully angled Grace and unleashed a laser that severed the hand from the wrist. He precisely flicked it away without cutting its victim.

"So who's who?" He asked retracting his weapon. 

Brutality activated as smaller, metal gauntlets. "And who can I hit?"

Rin imminently point to Veridyan. Not saying another word.

"Who does this guy think he is?! Barging in here and calling me a LITTLE GIRL. Sure Im short but not a little girl." Rin thought, crossing her arms and looking away from Henko.

"Awesome."

Henko ran around Rin and in front of this Veridyan character. "Name's Henko." He deactivated Brutality around one hand and extended it toward his soon-to-be opponent. "Anything you'd like to say before we throw down? A name would be nice."

Veridyan smiled up at Henko.

 

"I'm Veridyan, Henko. Also, you seem to have something on your shoe."

 

A zombie torso erupted from the groun behind Henko and latched onto his leg, attempting to bite into it. Another zombie emerge from the ground and charged Terry.

The young man began to levitate next to the mech's head, simply watching the events unfold.

 

"Very nice move, you both continue to impress me."

 

The mech took a plasma bolt to the neck and part of its balance was thrown off. It threw a hand towards Ferro's location and aimed the other shakily at Alex while beginning to march towards him.

Rodin looks at the three centaurs charging towards him and thought:  Uh-oh.  He runs to the right to dodge, but one of the spears struck past his back.  Cringing, he fires six blasts at them.  On his left knee, Rodin thinks:  This is already sucking bad. 

"Ha haaa!" Henko cried with ecstatically. "Fun!" Grace activated along his right arm and he cut the zombie off of him, he switched to Brutality and blasted the remains off of his leg. He punched the air in front of him, sending a flurry of rockets flying towards the corpse charging Tery, and with his other hand, Henko detonated rockets to send him flying in Veridyan's direction.

Sam dodged a swipe by one of her pursuers and once close enough to get a good look at the mysterious girl stared her down. "Who are you? Why are you doing this?" She demanded pointing her rifle to aim right between the girl's eyes. "Answer now or your history!". Sam glanced back to make sure the centaurs were a safe distance back before turning once again to look at the girl.

Seraphim panicked, swiping the scythe. She pulled a trigger, thinking it would -

BANG!

She was thrown back, and skidded and rolled.

"I need a computer." She muttered. Standing, she pressed a button. Folded down. Ok.

She fired a few shots off, then turned to see Sam run at the woman.

"I can't leave him..."

Looking over the weapon, she popped a scope up and took aim.

"Daddy said...breath in...exhale."

 

She fired, blasting the head off of one centaur.

Koizumi backed away as this new guy, Henko, came charging out from the jungle and towards the cabin. Body parts of bodies of zombies were just spouting from the ground like plants. Probably this was some kind of illusion.., she thought to herself while keeping her distance away from Henko. From the way he was just blasting rockets left and right in somewhat of a careless manner, he seemed to be more of a threat to her than an ally. Koizumi felt something on her belt under her black coat. She pulled both items out to see that they were a cross of a laser gun and pistol (refer to character sign up sheet). When did these get here..., she thought, turning the weapons around to examine it a bit. Koizumi looked up, with somewhat of a straight face, remember what was currently happening. She already had a feeling that Veridyan was going to avoid that attack. All of this senseless violence is pointless, when can we leave to search around this place. Surely, we can find something worth recording in a data book. She looked over at Henko. "Hey, quit acting like the hero out of a twisted storybook and stop shooting at Veridyan. You dont know what that guy can do to you." she said with a growl in her tone of voice.

Hazimie was lying on the ground at the Airstrip Jungle,sleeping as if he doesn't mind what comes to happen around him.Then,he heard many kinds of noise from afar that he knew that some people have already fighting."It seems i'm the last one..."Hazimie said as he began standing up."Looks like i need more catch up to do..."Hazimie said as he take out his weapon,his Tonfa Sword and move out...

(AT-AT style)

 

Ferro saw the swat coming as if from a long distance. It would never come near him. Ripping out a large length of wiring, he leaped off the mech's shoulder, landed between its legs, and wrapped the wiring around and around until it could go no tighter. The mech wobbled and started falling forward. "Get out of the way!" Ferro portalled to safety. Standing now beside the bunker, he noticed the sleeping man had woken. "Nice of you to join us." He gave a glance at the tonfa sword. Would that be able to do much?

Derik was awake for a while now. He was likely the first to wake up among them, but his entire body was still frozen, only able to hear sounds barely, and human voices not at all. He could hear servo's and motor sounds, though. "So wherever I am, its either in a facility making and testing robotic parts, or I may be on a god-forsaken beach on some random world in another galaxy possibly being attacked by robotic gorrillas and an enigmatic woman." He thought, chuckling to himself on the second guess as best he could due to his body being mainly frozen still.

As Hazimie was been accompanied by Ferro,a man who was with him during his sleep,he began taking out the cigarette from his pocket and put it at his mouth and lighten it up by using his lighters."Sorry,i really addicted to smoking...."Hazimie said to Ferro as he apologizing to him that he's smoking in front of him."Now then,where were we.....oh right,an encounter..."Hazimie said as he then began charge head-on to the mechanical centaurs that has been appear beside the Mech and immediately slash their parts with his Tonfa Sword,one-by-one."Let me DICE YOU UP!"Hazimie said as he continue slaying the enemies ahead...

Terry kept quiet at first after Rija floored him, searching his memory about who was on him. A profile clicked into place.

"Your Rija Mors, right?" He asked over his shoulder. "I'm Terry Frost, a security agent for-"

His head snapped up to see the zombie coming towards him.

"I'll explain later!"

Terry popped up and delivered a sweeping kick that took out the zombie's legs, causing it to fall to the ground hard. Working on instinct, he reached in the bag he found in the cabin, grasping some sort of handle. He brought what he grabbed down, which was a tactical tomahawk, and buried it into the zombie's head, killing it.

(Trying to inform you guys that let's just say that i'm fighting the enemies alone and i don't want you guys interacting with me any further for awhile since i won't online soon...)

The zombie headed toward Terry did not anticipate the kick that Terry gave it, it shot back and Henko's missiles got it. The blast from the missiles detonation threw the undead creature back towards Veridyan. An inch from the boy's face stopped and hung in midair. Veridyan couldn't't lookmore ecstatic."Yes! Yeah that's so awesome! They won't believe it! I mean that Henko is kinda a wild dog but I can deal. You all are something else! I hope you guys won't mind but there's one more thing I gotta throw at you to be sure."Without waiting for approval Veridyan nodded and the zombie hanging in midair in front of him erupted into flame. Then zombies emerged from the ground next to the tanks and crawled in. The 8 zombie tanks thembegan to move in on the cabin from all sides.not a jerk, I just wanna know if you''re as good as I need!""I swear I'm not a jerk, but I hafta know if you're as good as I need you to be."------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------One of the centaurs pursuing Rodin was hit by the spray of shots he fired. It's hooves we're shredded and it fell into the sand, unable to move at all after. The one behind the collapsed centaur barely took a moment to fumble and trip over first. Their mangled metal became intertwined and the twosome down with an explosion of sand. The last centaur in the trio began to rush Rodin, arming the spear in it's hand as it charged. Seraphim's shot took off it's head just before it struck. Rodin's pursuers were all down.The red haired woman smirked at Sam's comment. "Believe me, you are far more history than I am. I am from what you would see as the future. There is much to be explained, and much to be done, but you must show me that you are worth explaining situation to, now come, I have no time for your threats, you could not hurt me if you tried."The pursuing centaurs drew closer to Sam...----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------As the mech tumbled heavily toward the ground strange sound could be heard coming from it. It was a beeping that grew faster and faster until a computerized voice came from the mechanical hulk."Explosive self destruction engaging."The young man in he vest smirked."Boom."And then...Boom.

Rodin watches as the centaur that charged at him fell down.  Looking at Seraphim, he waves and says: "Thanks for that."  He turns around and sees the last centaurs getting closer to Sam.  Rodin fires three shots at one of them.  He presses the button to switch his weapon back to sword form, ran, and made a jumping lunge at another.  He says to Sam:  "What's up?  Having some trouble here?"

Ferro watched as the mech fell, felt satisfied when it exploded. And also relieved. He had erected a one-way portal in front of himself to send any shrapnel permanently into another dimension. Thank God I got away from that thing when I did, he thought. Ferro skirted the burning wreck and faced the vested man. "I think we deserve an explanation. About why we are here, about who you are, and especially about why you would set something like that on us." Ferro raised his D-ppendage. "And while you may control this world, I doubt you could do much if I sent your head to a different one."

Koizumi went pale. She couldn't find a good explanation as to how this kid managed to do all of this. Within a split second, she raised up her guns at one of the zombie tanks and started hammering her finger on the trigger as fast as she could. the laser bullet were ripping away at the zombies in two shots, which was goood since she wasn't much of a fighter herself. Koizumi kept shooting until the top if the tank blew off and landed onto the ground a few feet away. Koizumi stopped shooting, feeling her fingers get sore, and waited for a second before aiming at the next one

Henko sighed as Brutality retracted. "These things again?"

Grace extended. "Such a bother." A wide laser shot out of one of the swords and he brought it up cutting through the ground and diagonally through the hull of the tank.

Again taking aim, she fired a brace of shots, downing one centaur.

"What the hell is all this..."

"I really should be freaking out about all this." Terry thought, as the world around him seemed to go in slow motion for him.

His hand was reaching back to the pack.

"I just hope this doesn't mean I'll go into shock later."

His hand grasped the grip of a gun. He pulled it out and rested the plasma rifle on the arm that still held his tomahawk. He began to fire three round bursts at the zombies coming in random order.
