Willa is a very talented actress. I personally LOVED her as Aqua despite sounding off at times. Please, at least until KH3 give her another chance and then if not sucessful then she can leave. Sign and spread my petition if u agree:

Hayden is 10x as famous as Willa and she comes back for every game.  Haley Joel Osment and Jesse McCartney are arguably just as famous/busy as Willa.  Waste of time making this thread.

I liked Willa. I actually liked Jason Dohring (Terra) too, and I LOVED Jesse McCartney. TBH none of the VAs bother me. Though Xaldin sounds kinda weird in KH HD...

i'm basing it on what apprently Sqaure has decided to do with the casting, have u noticed that they BOTH have the same VA in EVERY game that they r in together?

In the end, all should have different VAs, as Namine and Xion have different births tbh. Namine through the releasing of Kairi's heart when Sora died, Xion through the memories of Kairi giving a puppet an identify... In the end, 3 different VAs work best as neither Namine nor Xion are "true" Nobodies for Kairi, despite Namine clearly being Kairi's Nobody as proved by KH2.

go watch the cutscenes from Days/1.5 and Re com on this site, KAIRI is in those games and what i meant by "New 1.5 stuff" is obviously the Days cutscenes

Yeah but even when Jesse voices Roxas and Ventus, you can really hear the effort he puts to make their voices and the way they speak different.

Yeah: Roxas is lower in pitch, more mature-sounding, while Ventus is care-free, and a bit higher. 

I don't know why they'd get rid of her, I thought she did an amazing job. Terra on the other hand I wouldn't mind as long as it still sounded kind of the same. But I thought Willa did an amazing job.

I didn't have a problem with her voice acting, but I can see why others might have had a problem with here. However, she IS Aqua. We can't have a new voice every game. She'll do better in KH3.

Am I the only one who has people think bad VAs are good while decent VAs are considered horrible? Maybe it's just me... (Looking at you old Megaman BN forum)

 

I still want her voice back. I hate when you get accustom to the voices, then bam it's all different. Even worse if said "bad" VA gets replaced with one that does worse lol.

Willa Holland is an impeccable actress with great range. No offence but I think some of this mind boggling criticism stems from people who listened to the original Japanese dialogue and it tends to skew their opinion of localisations because of the inevitable comparisons. I'm not looking to piss anyone off but review your opinion, is Willa really that bad? 

 

For that matter was Jason really bad as Terra? I thought he carved out an interesting lost but stoic figure. I mean everyone's got their own opinion but it wouldn't hurt to have a more open mind!

Interesting...cuz If i had to complain about any VA it's Hayden.I always hear Hayden when I hear Kairi speak...it's so annoying and unnatural compared to her Japanese Voice Actress where it feels perfectly natural

 

And also some of the lines they give her at times can be cringeworthy

Like for example in the final scene in KH1

 

Japanese Dialogue:

Sora:I'll come back to get you someday...don't worry(something like that can't remember)

Kairi:It's a Promise

 

English Dialogue:

Sora:Kairi remember what you said back there? I'm always with you...I'll come back to you...I promise

Kairi:I KNOW YOU WILL!!!!!!(Cringeworthy to the Max)

 

And then there's that cringeworthy delivery

"It's my Lucky Charm...Be sure to bring it back to me"...god that shit makes me cringe

I thought it was fine...heartfelt even....

 

 

I'm a girl so her voice seems perfectly fine to me. It frustrates me that you say a normal teenage voice is ''Cringeworthy''
