Nomura : Regarding D23 Expo Japan, this is the first time that Disney holds such an event outside the U.S., so it is a great honor for us to be invited. I’m very happy that we have the opportunity to hold a special conference for Kingdom Hearts. I really want to make a surprise announcement for this event but it is currently under discussion, so we’ll see (laughs). Since we announced Kingdom Hearts III at E3, we cannot make another announcement for the same game. Instead we will announce something else, which you will see soon enough.

So, its not a KH3 announcement, but it is something Kingdom Hearts related... I smell 2.5

I seem to remember they had something in the works they were calling project Kingdom hearts that didn't work out? It would be cool if they resurrected that, but 2.5 would be a logical announcement I guess.

And there won't be a 0.5. The HD 1.5 ReMIX credits say HD 2.5 ReMIX will have KH2FM, BBS (Final Mix assumed) and Re:coded.

How come BBS is between KH 2 and before KH3? This is totally unorganized if it happened...

It doesn't matter if it's weird. As long as 2.5's announced we already know that BBS happened 10 years before kingdom hearts so no need to get butt hurt about it. Do you want it or not?

and BBS story says hi too. Having the secret ending between II and III doesn't mean that all the game's timeline is between those two titles. Most of the game is before KHI 

I'm hoping it's 2.5

I really hope it's HD 2.5 but i'd be happy for any KH console release announcement as long as it doesn't set back the release of KH3
