I haven't watched Cowboy Bebop yet but I hear a lot of praising for it,Heck some people say it's the holy grail of Japanese anime and it's one of the best(if not THE best) anime ever made

 

 

Is it that good??Do you recommend Cowboy Bebop for me to watch or is it kinda overrated??

Different people will have different opinions of what that show means to them and how overall amazing it is, but let me put it in simply terms, ones that everyone I've ever spoken to about the show agrees with.

 

It's a very good show. Watch it.

 

The appeal of Cowboy Bebop is that it's a very well polished, very driven show. It has distinct themes and well defined characters that, regardless of whether you think the show is God's gift to man, raise it above many of the anime out there. It's only 26 episodes, and if you are like most people, the first 10 or so episodes will give you a good idea of how the series is. It's very much a show about characters, it's not about a great overarching plot (Though at the same time people commend it as having one of the best endings out there) it's about the individual relationships and personalities of a group of people in a well-made world. On top of that it has a great and defined sense of style that compliments it entirely.

 

Definitely check it out.

This is one of the animes that people say "why have you not seen it yet?"

I definitely recommend it. I havn't watched the whole series in its entirety yet, but what I've seen is fantastic.

I haven't watched much anime, so this is just MY take on it: I saw a group of Cowboy Bebop manga's at a garage sale that the woman couldn't GIVE away. 

To me, that spells a badly done book, and possibly a bad anime.

Except in this case the anime came before the books.

 

Anyway, Cowboy Bebop is just amazing. It's like a Western concept for a TV show if it was drawn instead of live-action. The characters are all great and well-rounded, and although it doesn't have much of an overall arc across the series, there's a few episodes that follow an arc and the series has a very satisfying ending and it's just ngggghh. It's also one of the best cases that weaken the whole "omg dubs are terrible" argument since the English dub is what makes up a huge part of how great CB is. All of the music is just so ngggghh like omg seriously there's lots of jazz and shit.

Like seriously drop what you are doing and go watch it. At least until the 5th episode, since that'll be the point where you can safely judge if it's worth continuing to watch or not.

It's honestly something you need to watch. Whether you end up liking or not, it's one of the most influential anime out there so it's worth checking it out.

 

I personally prefer Samurai Champloo (they share the same creator) but Cowboy Bebop is amazing. The last 4 episodes of Cowboy Bebop might be some of the best anime you'll ever see.

 

Oh and this is an anime you NEED to see dub, it's dubbing perfection, even the sub purist will agree. Seriously, watch it dubbed,

Bebop is amazing. Its a "Gateway" anime IMO. What I mean by that is it's a series so good it could make an otaku out of anyone who sees it through.

 

Its one of the Legends along with Samurai Champloo, Ghost in the Shell, Outlaw Star, Trigun, and Wolf's Rain.
