Hello everyone its me Jake im starting a new topic on the next Naruto Shippuden film. ^_^ as we know team 7 is back and the kages are also back pretty much everyone and their brother is on the war front but back to the movie what kinda of story can they make for the final Naruto film? Road to Ninja was perfect it focused mainly on Naruto Uzumaki which I thought was important seince we really dont get to see him often >.> but anyway for the tenth movie i think it will focus on the end of the series (hoping the last film is canon) Naruto get some kind of sage of the six paths cloak or silloutete (cant spell it) and free the other tailed beasts.

Really? I mean, not that I did want to end, but I thought that season 2 would never end. What I am now wondering is, will they make a season 3?

What if I don't want to quote!

Well you should, so the person knows you answered them.

Um, to clear things up, the author of Naruto has yet to tell us that the manga is ending. So Naruto Shippuden isn't ending anytime soon unless the auther tells us so. BTW, the movies are never canon so a movie to end a manga series is highly unlikely.

You never know, since DBZ: Battle of Gods is canon (Thank god Gohan doesn't actually go Super Saiyan in the movie).

Anyway, I don't want it to end.

Though, I love Naruto and it being my second favorite anime...I honestly can't wait for it to end, and I mean that in a good way. I guess it's weird how I see it, I feel as if its getting dragged a bit to long, but at the same time it's great to the series still going with twists here and there.

(Okay, I dunno if this'll be merged with the Naruto thread, but I wanted this to be seen by more people than the ones who go there since they're all fellow supporters of the series.)

I've noticed for ages that there are a lot of people who claim that Naruto Shippuden is a horrible series, and that the original series is way better. They all have various excuses, such as a supposed lack of character development. To be honest, I don't think they even paid attention to the series. I believe that Shippuden is far superior to the original in all aspects. In fact, the original series even has various flaws that many people seem to ignore while they praise it. Keep in mind, I absolutely love both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. I'm not bashing one or the other, I'm explaining why I believe Shippuden is better. Now, let's get going with my reasoning:

1. Naruto Uzumaki

A lot of people say that Shippuden focuses too much on Naruto. In reality, the original series didn't even seem to build Naruto for half of it. Let's take a look at the Land of Waves arc. This seemed more about Kakashi to me. Naruto didn't even accomplish much through fighting. Kakashi pretty much did the fighting for everyone here, while Naruto kept nearly getting himself killed. Naruto got a lot more focus during the Chunin Exams, but it still made Sasuke out as the most important in the group. Naruto didn't get much spotlight until the Konoha Destruction arc, where he fought Gaara. Then, in the next arc, all he did was learn a new move while Jiraiya fought. This time, Jiraia and Tsunade were the main characters is how it seemed to me. Naruto was only really there to support in the fight against Kabuto, who really wasn't too powerful. In the final arc, we had equal spotlight for each of the characters in the Sasuke Retrieval arc, while Naruto took over in the end. A lot of people say that it's good to focus on everyone, but when the main protagonist barely improves until the very end, it's not as good as constant improvement like he had in Shippuden. The lack of development in the original series is one reason why I believe Shippuden is better.

Naruto also had a LOT of development during Shippuden. Everyone did, but Naruto was one of the most prominent examples. After battling Pain, he matured a lot more, and became the hero he'd wanted to be. During the original series, he was always the loud guy who acted like a little kid, and never really developed too much personality-wise.

2. The Battles

Now, we go on to the battles in the series. In all honesty, most of Naruto's fights in the original series were nothing but a lucky win, usually with Rasengan or some Shadow Clone attack. In Shippuden, he had a larger variety of attacks, which help make things more interesting. A lot of the fights in the Chunin Exams felt rushed, which also lessened the overall development. This was one of the few arcs which focused more on Naruto, but a lot of the supporting cast was left in the dust here, only participating in really boring and rushed fights. In Shippuden, many supporting characters were given their chances to fight, from Shikamaru to even Konohamaru for a short time. The battles were at a more interesting pace, and more fun to watch. Compare the battle between the Sannin to the Sasuke vs Itachi fight during Shippuden, the second is far more intense and exciting.

3. The Storyline

In my opinion, the original Naruto's story seemed a little cramped. It was a little short for what happened, and seemed like it all went by over a few months. There were only 5 story arcs to lead up to the finale, which again, seemed short. Shippuden spread it out more, and paced it much better. The story for Shippuden was also much deeper. The original series was a lot happier, focusing on a group of beginner kids. Meanwhile, Shippuden was much deeper, and more emotional. Shippuden's character deaths were much more saddening and caused a greater reaction, while the original series didn't kill off many characters we cared about. The original series seemed all over the place, going from one mission to something entirely unrelated in the fist couple arcs. Shippuden tied together greatly.

4. "Only Naruto and Sasuke Get Focus in Shippuden"

I hate it when people said this. There was a lot more focus on other characters during Shippuden. For example, Sai was important during the second arc, as well as Yamato. Kakashi also did a lot during the series, from helping chase down Deidara to joining Naruto at the Gokage Summit. Shikamaru got a whole arc about him and Asuma at the start, and Shikamaru helped a lot throughout the series, especially during the Fourth Shinobi War. Jiraiya was very important in the battle against Pain, as was Hinata. In the Fourth Great Ninja War, most of the supporting cast had very important parts, and helped battle their opponents. There's a lot more character focus than most people think there is.

Well, that's all I can think of for now. I know it's an opinion-based thing, but I felt the need to point out the flaws of the original series, and to supply proof of one of the major reasons people complain about Shippuden. I won't be surprised if there's an argument below, but oh well...

Fool. I just treat the entire thing as one series and I am very pleased with it.

I like both of them the same...I dont really prefer one over the other. But you make some good points

I feel like it should've ended after the pain saga

I usually separate them into Part 1/Part 2, but I still really like both of them!

I like Shippuden more than the original, but they're still both REALLY close. I did this more to counter the people who worship part 1 and say that part 2 is the worst thing ever.

I like both but there are things that i like more in part 1 and things that i like more in part 2.

For example part 1 had more funny moments but part 2 is mostly focused in the story.

Seriously Shippudden is better. Naruto isn't an annoying brat who has to shout 85% of the time, the fights are much better (seriously Naruto vs Pain, Sakura and Chio vs Sasori and Sasuke vs Danzo eclipse practically every part 1 fight) the story has more twists and more Hashirama, more Itachi and honestly a lot more stuff actually happens.

Fool. Yeah, but Naruto has flashbacks. Lots and lots of flashbacks.

Exactly. Let's not forget Sasuke vs Itachi on that list, though! My favorite fight in the series...

I agree the fights are way better in Shippuden.

That one's my favourite as well!

I just see the naruto series as a whole, which is okay I guess

I did this more because a ton of people whine about Shippuden apparently being a horrible series that never should have existed, which I felt needed to be addressed. I kinda see the split because I find Shippuden to be higher quality, but I love both series. :/

I have to say that as of now, I can't watch Naruto pt. 1 the same again after watching and reading the recent chapters of Shippuden. I compare the series too easily and say that the Konoha 12 were brats. Throughout the series I watched as they grow, becoming more mature and powerful. I just can't watch the original series the same like I used to. Still, I respect the series. it was one of the best anime/manga I ever watched/read.
