So hey guys. Watching that new kh3 was so amazing I'm a pumped. But on the topic of flow motion will it still be returning but just without all the glowing stuff. I mean the possibilities just imagine fighting the rock Titan with it. Dogging out of the way with it running up those walls and jumping on top of him to attack him. The gameplay is said to be very flashy so it's possible so what are your thoughts on flow motion/parkour in kingdom hearts 3.

I think we'll get a watered down version of flow motion.  Maybe no attack moves, just quick movement through large areas.

I'm hoping for the opposite: an even flashier version of flow motion with a bit of parkour thrown in there. Things shown in cutscenes like running up/down walls, running at super-sonic speeds, and and fighting on the ceiling will become standard gameplay...at least in my perfect world.

Mclovin flowmotion right now

tbh i barley used flowmotion in worlds besides TWTNW

In the massive (empty) areas in DDD, it helped get through it quicker, so it made sense to have it, but I hope we don't get such large EMPTY areas in KH3 (either make them smaller or chuck something in there so you aren't bored going from one end of it to the other) I don't really want to see any previous game mechanics in KH3, I want something new (so that'd be no flowmotion, no drives, no command styles, no shotlocks,etc...) but I hope if flowmotion is in it you can't use it to spam attack enemies you aren't able to deal with in regular battle so only transport, no attacks

This and flowmotion is only for the dream world and it made the game FAR too easy.

I don't think what Sora was doing in the first trailer is Flowmotion, I think that's just his physical prowess and agility because I feel like that Flowmotion was only for the Dream World

they said 3D connects to KH3 through story and gameplay. And flowmotion is the main thing in 3D.

The way they are doing the new twilight town makes it pratically confirmed.

I agree the worlds in DDD were too empty, I think they should aim to make them really big and full of interesting stuff since making them smaller wouldn't really make it feel like a different world.

I want all those to come back BUT only in some variation/reworked version. There should definitely be new stuff but they would get good result balancing out the old mechanics to function better and yes, flowmotion really needs to be towned down in terms of attacking.

I don't think we will see the return of Flowmotion in KH3.  The Flowmotion controls were a gimmick justified by them being in the Dream World.  This gave them the ability to somewhat alter the rules of reality.  However the events of KH3D did happen and the experience gained by their journey through the Dream World is sure to have had a profound effect on our protagonists. So we will likely see elements derived from the Flowmotion system but more down to earth, like wall jumps. I liked the Flowmotion system, it was a lot of fun.  However as a gameplay mechanic it was very broken and abusable. There was literally no problem in that game that couldn't be solved by FM jumping off a wall and AOE smashing the entire group.  Because of this mechanic you literally didn't need to equip a single skill to beat most enemies in the game.  Additionally there was no limitation placed on the use of flow motion which really detracted from the platforming.  Areas of Traverse Town that previously require skill and effort to reach became easily accessible by simply hopping near a wall or lamp post.

When I say smaller areas though, I assume there would be more areas as well, so instead of 6 large areas, there's 12 smaller areas so it's easier to move between them but you still have something fresh instead of looking at the same room for 5 minutes while you try to get to the other end (might as well be an eternity), obviously the first one would be better, big areas with plenty to do but between the options of big areas that are empty and small areas that are empty, I would go for the smaller ones (though they have no excuse not to fill the places out since the hardware is immensely more powerful than previous handhelds).

I still don't want them back xD Some tweeking, I like the idea of, someone mentioned the first trailer looked like flowmotion with parkor, that I don't mind but since i t didn't glow it didn't look like flowmotion at all to me, just parkor so to me, that's new not the same as the old.   I really don't want drives.  I want something like drives, basically a special ability when there's a bar that either builds up to release or levels up, but I don't want to see drives again since we already had them in the ranked best KH game KH2FM, runner up KH2 (normal) (Nomura himself found this funny).  I think we've had the special features, show us how this is a new game and not a remastered FM+

No, you skip allot of stuff in the world so..

Now I see what you mean by smaller.Yeah, as long as they flesh out all the worlds I'll be satisfied.

I guess I'm just holding on to nostalgia wanting the old stuff back xD but your right, if KH3 has enough well thought out new things then It will have a much bigger impact, just like KH2 did with introducing drives and other stuff, and BBS was still great without drives so it is possible to go without. KH3 will hopefully be undeniably better than KH2FM, then everybody wins :D
