October 26, 201312 yr IGN: "Oh mah gawd where iz da speed boost button!? Dis gaem suckz!" Gamespot: "Dis gaem iz 2 hard 4 me. Dis gaem is now terrible!" This This right here sums up the assholes who give every single Call of Duty game a 1010
October 26, 201312 yr I can't believe they gave a Sonic game 10/10. None of them deserve it. I beg to differ there. There are a few choice games out of that series. The idea of IGN ever giving a 10/10 to ANY good game though, that is hard to believe, they have seriously biased rating systems. Can you believe that the only Sonic game that IGN has given a perfect (10/10) score to was on an unpopular parallel to the GameBoy Colour? Which one was that?
October 26, 201312 yr Which one was that? I believe that it is named "Sonic Pocket Colour", for the Neo Geo Pocket Colour. It looks like an eight-bit recreation of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but without Tails, and with Sonic having his modern design.
October 26, 201312 yr I just hate how they gave the game that rate just because that sonic is not fast as much as the last game, such a stupid way of reviewing, it is like a fan giving an opinion...
October 26, 201312 yr I believe that it is named "Sonic Pocket Colour", for the Neo Geo Pocket Colour. It looks like an eight-bit recreation of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but without Tails, and with Sonic having his modern design. Oh right, you mean Sonic Pocket Adventure. It looked interesting, I can see why it would have a lot of positive reviews, but a 10/10? That's a bit of a stretch. I agree that objectively, no currently existing Sonic game would warrant a full 10/10, I believe the highest they get would be 9/10, or maybe those questionable 9.3's or 8.7's. To give a game a 3/10 would be very questionable and subjective, as I don't believe most of those games deserve that low of a score, except for some of the early portable games of the 90's, like Sonic Labyrinth or Sonic 3D/Sonic Blast (not to be confused with Sonic 3D Blast/Flicky's Island). I do think subjectively it is possible to give a 10/10 for a Sonic game, but objectively it doesn't work. To give Sonic Pocket Adventure a 10/10 seems a bit strange and unlikely, so it may have been from a subjective point of view. But ask any other average Sonic fan about it and most would never know that it existed. Lately, I've been noticing IGN giving questionable reviews of games that I liked or have expressed interest in, and I'm starting to learn that a lot of outside video game services and the info they give should be taken with a grain of salt. It's like playing Telephone and they are the third or fourth person to get the message, so there's no telling if what they heard/told is accurate or not.
October 26, 201312 yr I just hate how they gave the game that rate just because that sonic is not fast as much as the last game, such a stupid way of reviewing, it is like a fan giving an opinion... *GASP* Fans.....have OPINIONS!!?? What is this world coming to!!!??? Yeah though, it's like they just get the most biased fans from different franchises and play musical chairs with which games they review, and when they do review their fanbase's game, they still don't entirely represent the whole view of their fandom. They may as well just hire Classic Sonic fans so they can give every new game a 0/10 so they can move on with their lives. You know who I would like to see review Sonic games though? Somebody who actually liked Sonic 2006 (or at least didn't hate it as much as most people would). That would provide an interesting perspective. I mean, there's no telling how credible those views would be, but wouldn't you like to see how someone like that views other Sonic games from both the past and present? I started with 2006 and I find most Sonic games to be enjoyable (even 2006 to a certain extent...sometimes). It'd be nice to know if there are other people who have gotten into the series in the same way. Or, maybe they would have just been scared away from the series and deemed every game a failure without ever looking at them, or what came before them. There's no telling. But that's the fun part, the unpredictability! You can probably guess that most Classic fans don't like the newer games that much, or the more Modern fans don't like the older games that much (well, maybe, I haven't really come across anyone who hates Sonic 3 and Knuckles yet). But with people who didn't mind 2006? There's no telling what they think.

But with people who didn't mind 2006? There's no telling what they think. I partially dislike Sonic 3 & Knuckles because it is too long, the special stages are too difficult to complete, and one of the final bosses (a piece of metal with one eye that rotates two spiked platforms around it) seems to only be fit to defeat if one is able to become Super Sonic at the time. I do not mind Sonic 06, due to the fact that it has come the closest to what I want a new Sonic game to be like (although the game itself is very dated now), but if I tried to play it, I would probably be frustrated. Something that seriously bothers me is that it seems that a lot of people were complaining about the boost feature; claiming that the gameplay is primarily "boost to win". This game does not have that feature, and yet they are still disappointed. There is no pleasing people like that.

This game does not have that feature, and yet they are still disappointed. There is no pleasing people like that. Seriously. People don't appreciate anything until it isn't around anymore. I loved the Boost Feature then, and I still love it now. Anybody else who didn't like it back then and think that they are missing out on it now are seriously disappointing and pathetic people. As for me though, I guess I could get used to the idea of holding a button down to make Sonic run faster...I mean, that's basically what we did in the last few games. The problem is, it's not "Boost to Win" anymore, now it's "Boost to Play", and while Sonic moves at an exceptionally speedy rate, it's not the "OH MY FREAKING GOD" speed that I always thought was more appropriate for the series. Still, each game is a different experience, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this experience works for me.

October 27, 201312 yr How does that have anything whatsoever to do with this. Just stating an example of giving what you think is a good game a bad score. You haven't read the IGN review to judge the one who opened this thread. What IGN did is not even valid criticism or even being competent critics. they didn't mention any of the stuff in the game, neither the wisps, nor anything else...only the classic excuse of Sonic is slower than the last game even though he's still clearly fast

What IS the point is that you're bitching about a review that you can easily ignore. The review won't stop YOU or anybody from enjoying the game if they enjoy the game. Coming on a website that has nothing whatsoever to do with the review or with Sonic the Hedgehog and bitching about it doesn't help anything, and it just makes you and the person who made the thread look completely childish.
