If the Kingdom Hearts series was not translated into English, but still had English subtitles, would it be liked among the people here?

Chances are the fanbase would be smaller, but yes, it would still be liked

How could i ever NOT love KH ? Impossible

I probably never would have seen it.  A KH2 commercial got me into KH, which got me into gaming, so if no version was released over here, I wouldn't have even played any games to look the internet for information on new ones.

I'd still like it just as much. It wouldn't make a difference to me.

Yes? I play games in Japanese all the time. But as i grew out of my weeaboo stage i find myself preferring english voiceovers more than subtitles. Its just because i multitask and dont like to read something quick without getting to focus on the actual cutscenes and such.

 

Plus, i like the english voices better anyways. Just like with anime and other video games, Some japanese voices i like better, some english ones i like more. It depends on the voices, not the fact that its japanese or english. For example in BlazBlue, you have the option to play in either japanese or english. I play in english because honestly, i just like how the voices sound better.

 

I think its not about the language and more just how the voices sound. It's the individual voices. Not the language as a whole, that'd be stupid.

I don't think I'd like it as much. I generally prefer Japanese voice-acting in Final Fantasy games, but I can't bear to listen to Donald, Goofy and Mickey in Japanese. It just sounds too strange to me. 

i'd still play it. and if it was english subbed, i think i would know how to speak japanese a lot better than i do now...

 

what got me to kh in the first place was the interesting combo of FF style characters and disney characters anyways. but i would still facepalm at how awesome disney characters sound like in japanese.
