Varnish 319 Posted November 8, 2013 (edited) I believe that Kairi's heart went inside Sora's due to the connection that they shared, and so her heart could be protected from being taken away by the Heartless. It is why she ended up at Destiny Islands when Radiant Garden was plunged into darkness and it is why her heart sought refuge within Sora's during KH1. Sora is Kairi's protector by all necessary means. It is unlikely that Kairi's heart going into Sora's was a result of Aqua's magic, but her being drawn to Riku (not Sora, because he was not originally the future Keyblade wielder) after being sent away from Radiant Garden was. Her 'light' was drawn to Riku and Sora's light just like it was said "Aqua: �Someday your light will lead you to a light that will protect you from the darkness.�". When DI fell, Riku fell into darkness and was no longer necessarily that light anymore at that given time .Kairi has a connection to both of them but she chose to hide in Sora- the light that would protect her just like the keyblade chose Sora bc Riku fell to darkness..
