In the KH series there's been some characters in some worlds that know of the existence of other worlds such as Santa Claus in Halloween Town and King Triton in Atlantica. My question is..Did the Mayor of Destiny Islands knew that Kairi came from another world after the meteor shower?

Fool. There is no way to know. The only thing said about the mayor is that he adopted Kairi, that's it.

It's possible. But we have no way of knowing. The question I have is that if we see Destiny Islands again and get to visit the mainland will we see the characters parents or the mayor?

I have to start by echoing everyone else in saying that I don't know for sure. But I don't think so. At the begining of the game Riku is talking about the existance of other worlds and Kairi's role in his interest. In the middle of his monologue he uses the word if-if there are other worlds. Now like Riku and Sora this could have lead to theories about it but if Kairi did not know and the game seems to suggest that at first that even she wasn't completely sure then how could others know. Just food for thought!

nope. there's definitely a mayor of destiny islands. it was said in the game. go search through cutscenes from kh1

Yesh I'm just starting to get into it. If I didn't know it was Kagerou I probably wouldn't care. Heat-Haze Days and Headphone Actor are probably my favorites of the songs.

It was by the time of Birth by Sleep, when Kairi has arrived on Destiny Islands, but that's a cutscene from KH1 You can see that right after being swallowed by Monstro
