When I first played Kingdom Hearts back in the 2002, I did not expect it to be as dark , mysterious, and eerie as it looked on the commercials(Kingdom Hearts is the only mature Disney game). it left me very uneasy when I played it and due to that I never played kingdom Hearts 1 at night( I was only six years old at the time).For example I remember when the game started and you had to play as Sora during his deep dive , it had such a mysterious and eerie feel to it . I did not get these feeling from Chain of memories,KH2 or Birth by Sleep( I never played re:coded and DDD) and 358/2 days was the only KH game that came close to what I felt when I played KH1.So now I am 18 and we have to wait another 2+ years for KH3, and I would really want KH3 to be dark, mysterious and eerie like KH1. Let me know what you guys think. Do you want Kingdom Hearts 3 to be as dark, mysterious, and eerie as KH1?

You talk about Japanese culture being modest when it comes to hugging and kissing yet have you seen this thing called Dragonball and dragon ball Z, Naruto, Bleach, one piece etc( these shows are meant for kids by the way).These shows have a ton of Sexual jokes/ Themes in them ( Naruto sexy jutsu, Kon obsession with boobs , Brooks obsession with asking girls for their panties, the list goes on) the Japanese culture is almost just as bad as American Culture. Guess who came up with Hentai lol. I rest my case. and I don't watch or read fan fiction

I'm just saying, because you're taking this seriously as though they are real teenagers, it alright when people joke about it but its never going to actually legit happen so why are you even considering the notion so seriously? Seems a bit stupid to me, but you're entitled to your opinion....

It was meant I as a joke that me and Sora96 was talking about not something I want to happen or that did happen lol. I apologize for not making myself clear enough in the beginning.

What KH3 needs are all the spells from every KH game (except KH3D exclusive one) and more.

In my opinion KH1 wasn't dark at all.  The start was eerie, simply cause the music paired with this new start to a game we haven't played before, people didn't know what to expect, considering we know along the lines of what to expect now (and nearly anyone who keeps up with it expects to be thrown curve balls as well) there's no way it can be uber mysterious without just feeling annoying for withholding information.  

Could it be that KH1 felt so eerie and all to you because you played it so young? I played it at 18 and I actually didn't get that strong feeling from it myself. It has a bit different feeling to it for me too and it's more mysterious than the others, but I don't see it as eerie or dark almost at all. And even though KH isn't a dark series in general either, to me some other games are darker than the first one (BBS at least).

 

But at least to me it has happened that I've felt a game very strongly when I've played it as a little kid and still feel a bit the same when playing the game or thinking of it even though it's something that I'd definitely not feel so stongly about if I played it now the first time.

 

Though like I said, I think it does have more mysterious feeling in it then the other games and I did like that atmosphere. But I don't really see it coming back, because I think part of the mystery is that we don't know so much and there's not so many characters around and the plot hasn't developed so much.

I think you are right. maybe if I started playing the KH series now instead of back in 2002 my opinion would be different.
