Birth by Sleep is confrimed for PSP Go!

Posted

Okay, so I was doing a little searching because people are getting into arguements if it will come out on the psp go? Well to put everybody's mind at rest. IT IS!

1st: on the birth by sleep website, if you look down at the bottom of the web page, you will see the playstation network sign. Now I know most of you are saying. Well doesn't that come up on all Playstation games! NO! Only the games on the Playstation network.

2nd: I look at the dissida final fantasy website, it came out on the playstation network to, it has the sign.

3rd: lastly i checked the final fantsy 7 crisis core website, it only came out for umd. So, it doesn't have one of those fabulous playstation network stickers.

I know this is kinda hard for most of you to belive, but I don't think Square would put that on there website, and lie! And I know your like, Disney doesn't want to deal with download costs... blah! No! It's coming out for playstation network, and that's that! Thank you!

Woohoo!! Great! Then, my Psp Go is worth buying after all!!:D:D:D:D:D:D

I'll stick with a PSP 3000 or if it comes to it, a Slim.

Uh... but Dissidia and Birth By Sleep both feature online components.

Crisis Core doesn't.

ok, i just need a confirmation, i dont know much about the pspgo except for the fact that it is download only if i am correct, so what does this mean, it still is for the regular psp correct, but are you saying you can download it?

Crisis Core doesn't.

That's because you're right.

kingdomlanelover, Playstation Network is an online multiplayer component. The one you're looking for is the Playstation Store, and even then, Birth By Sleep isn't going to be on there, unless it's demos or themes for the PSP. Disney won't allow it because of dealing with prices and what not.

Your research is invalid.

Ummmmm ... multiplayer on PSP existed waaaaay before the Playstation Network was launched. And when you use it, nothing about the PSN comes up. It has no connection to it whatsoever. The PSN's only real use is the PlayStation Store, of which it is a part of. The only time I really think the PSN could ever maybe even have any sort of involvement with multiplayer is with full-fledged online multi-player which BBS doesn't even have - it only has local. And finally, take a look at this: http://nisamerica.com/games/mylord/ . This game has no multiplayer component whatsoever - but it was released to PlayStation Store, in fact exclusively just to Playstation Store. And, what's that?! A Playstation Network logo at the bottom. And look at this: http://www.lucasarts.com/games/swbattlefrontrenegadesquadron/ . It wasn't released to Playstation Store but does have multiplayer, and it doesn't have a PSN logo.

It's official: Birth by Sleep will be released to the Playstation Store.

the two games in the links xev seem to be well..... totally suckish

so i doubt that somethin awesome like BbS would be on it

im probably wrong because i havent used the store thing yet

You can't say it's official until Square-Enix announces it themselves.

But really, why do people buy the Go anyway? It costs more than a non-Go, and does significantly less than them as well. What a waste of money. Those three games that come with the Go aren't even worth it.

Well, official might be a little strong, but it looks pretty sure that it's going to be released to PSN. Between the things I found and what kingdomlanelover found, you can conclude that having a PSN logo on a game's page means that it is/will be available on the Playstation Store, and that it has nothing to do with multiplayer or online capabilities.

-sigh-

You took my arguement and made into another arguement. Note that I never said anything about multiplayer except for the online mutliplayer component for Playstation Network. I merely said that Playstation Network is the icon, not the Playstation Store. You points are valid, but not related to the situation.

Ummmmm ... multiplayer on PSP existed waaaaay before the Playstation Network was launched. And when you use it, nothing about the PSN comes up. It has no connection to it whatsoever.

That's because mutliplayer on PSP used actually PSPs together, rather than worldwide. I didn't necessary say that the PSP only and/or uses Playstation Network.

The PSN's only real use is the PlayStation Store, of which it is a part of.

That is completely false. PSN is what it's called, an online mutliplayer component. You seem to not fully understand that. Playstation Store may be the branch of PSN, but that's not the real use.

The only time I really think the PSN could ever maybe even have any sort of involvement with multiplayer is with full-fledged online multi-player which BBS doesn't even have - it only has local. Ok, so I see some reliable proof. I guess you got me there, give you that one.

It's official: Birth by Sleep will be released to the Playstation Store.

However, this is what I'm going to slap you with. It isn't offical until Square Enix says so. Just because you got proof of this, doesn't mean you can offically say your right.

That's why there are arguements on this site about PSP and PSP Go. People just assume when they think they got enough proof.

That's why I'm going to announce that until Square Enix says that Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep will be released on the Playstation Store, Birth by Sleep will stay as it is until futher notice.

And that's final. I'm tired of seeing these threads just about whether it's on the PSP or PSP Go.

Well that clears that up. The discussion of this is done.

Birth by Sleep /= PSP Go

Birth by Sleep = PSP

Thank you Reversal.

This is not a 100% confirmation.

In the first paragraph of this Playstation Blog, it's announced for the PSP Go.

Yay! ;].

That's different. You've heard from two official sources that contradict each other on a Go release. As for BBS, we have the aforementioned link above, which states UMD only, and the SE press releases and Nomura interviews, which fail to mention the Go at all. We have no official source saying that BBS will be released on the Go.

Nomura stated that it was UMD only....... sorry for you go users.

^and this is the time were people say "darn!" and it the time i say "get a used one or get the bbs psp"

THANKS FOR ADDING SOME SENSE!

Too many conflicting opinions! I'm playing it safe and preordering the BBS+PSP-3000 bundle from Gamestop.

What conflicting opinions? We have it as an official confirmation that BBS is UMD only.

Just a forgotten note: the link I posted earlier was sent as a reply from SE themselves when a fan asked about whether or not it'll be released on the PSN :
