That Roxas, Xion, and Axel/Lea never really eat the sea salt ice cream. They just bite it and that's it. I never seen them eat the whole thing.

That Sea Salt Ice Cream has a dash of poison in it, and that it's only safe to eat a mere few bites or else one would get sick, with death or temporary paralysis as an effect of eating too much. I agree. At least they gave a good image with Xion bringing Roxas the cure multiple times (sea shells). However, too many sea shells could cause a negative side effect or two and gives yet another bad idea to kids.

Axel ate the whole ice cream? it must be because he is a advanced addict.

They don't eat it they just pretend to and slowly let it melt in their hands. Thus adding a literal meaning to Axel saying, "Why do I always get stuck with the icky jobs?"

I also wonder where Roxas pulls the ice creams out during the cutscenes. Were they from his pocket?
