Books You Collect But Don't Actually Read

Posted

Naruto (Part II (Vol. 28-now)).

Still "follow" it via Wiki/Wikia, though.

Plan on selling a complete Part II set when it's finished.

I'm ashamed to admit I actually do this. I have a sizable collection of Star Wars novels that - out of the entire 15+ - I've only read about 4 or 5. It's just that a lot of them suck. Darksaber is awful, Splinter of the Mind's Eye is classic but kind of lame, etc. There's only a handful of REALLY good EU Star Wars novels that aren't based off of video games or comics.

Every single manga I own- yet I still ask for more every holiday

I own a couple of those Naruto 3-in-1 volumes from Part 1 that I haven't read yet. I read the volumes separately, but I wanted these in case I wanted to read them again. xD

Also, just saying, but those Wiki summaries for Naruto don't do the series justice. :/

I like collecting manga, but it usually does just sit on my shelf.

Every Vampire Academy book, when I still have to read the rest of book 1.

Stephen King novels, even though I never finished the monster tome ones.

The Max Ride novels, even though I haven't read the series through again.

The Percy Jackson books, when I've read the series through twice.

I'M A HOARDER!!! D:

Haruki Murakami books. They look nice on my shelf :)

Is 27 unread fantasy novels too many? O.O

Same here. My uncle gave me his entire collection of SW novels (At least 25 of them) and I sadly have not touched any of them.

I don't really buy anything for reading without actually reading them.  I was a bookworm, used to get through a full novel a day.

Mein Kampf 1937 Edition

Can't believe I'm saying this... The Lord Of The Rings Saga... (Hating myself in 3... 2... 1...)

I don't really do this, but sometimes ill buy too many at once and spend months reading. I won't buy more until those are finished though.

I truly love to read, but I rarely find time for it. As a result, I have twelve volumes of un-read Death Note. :I

WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE HOW COULD YOU NOT READ BOOKS? QUIT YOUR JOB DIVORCE YOUR SPOUSE SELL YOUR HOUSE AND FIND THE TIME TO READ OH MY GOSH WHO BUYS A BOOK AND DOESN'T READ IT???

I still haven't read the Harry Potter books even though they're all sitting on my shelf

I have to add Terry Pratchet books to mine: I have 10, been collecting for three years, and only read 3 of them.

The look good as a set, though....
