Do you think that Square-Enix should make a FF6 3DS remake like they did with some of the other FF games that got a remake on the DS? I would actually love to see that because a lot people seem to like FFVI. Plus, since FF VII doesn't seem that likely to get a HD remake then why not make a remake of FFVI? That game seems to have more of a chance to getting a remake than FF VII

In 2010, Shinji Hashimoto stated that remakes for FINAL FANTASY V and FINAL FANTASY VI for the Nintendo 3DS were being considered, but he would first have to "look and see how 3DS does, how it evolves, and then make a decision". 

 

Square Enix have already done as close as you can get to a proper HD remaster of VII with the PC re-release. They'll hopefully do a full remake one day.

I have to thank Sqaure Enix for remaking FF3 and FF4 for DS it was a bunch of fun. Now I pray for a Final Fantasy 5 and Final Fantasy 6 for 3DS

Well since the 3DS has been selling like hotcakes all around the world and how the 3DS has been getting immensely popular than Square should DEFINITELY do a remake on FFVI. Just imagine that remade soundtrack from the original game. It would be so beautiful.

Something wrong with V? I mean sure, we can all have our favourites, but I believe consistency among them needs to be maintained. So if they do a remake of VI then they have to do one for V. It's the same with the first two.

Yeah FFV can get a remake too since that's also a good FF game. To tell you the truth, I've never played FFV or FFVI so a remake on those two games would give me a chance to play them for the first time.

I just hope that they'd include an option to use the original soundtrack too. Nothing against remakes, but I preferred the SNES music for FFIV over a few of the FFIVDS remixes. Of course, I'd still love to hear how they'd remix it!

Whoa whoa whoa, hold the phone. Bravely Second is going to cost $80? It's just a freaking 3DS game!

They should, but first remake V, then move to VI. They could also do a collection or something with the remakes of FFI to FFVI, either for 3DS or WiiU. They could do the collection for the 27th anniversary of the series, or as year early thing for the 25th anniversary of FFIII, or simply as a way to remember the roots of the Final Fantasy series.

I meant NZ$80 lol. That's about US$65, which is still expensive, We can get new 3DS games for about NZ$69 if we're lucky (usually importing from Europe) but that's still US$55... Our video game prices are slightly more expensive but I don't mind too much

Ooh, okay. Dang, $65 though? 3DS games are usually US$40. ._.

I would love for FFVI to have a 3DS remake, but it might not happen due to the remaster announced for mobile devices.
