Just a quick question, have there been any male moderators for this site?

 

(Not trying to sound sexist, I just wondered since all of the current mods are girls)

I'd like to propose an idea about mods, I know I'm not a long time member so you guys or DChiuch wouldn't even think twice about this, but what if we had 3 male moderators? It would kinda balance out things in my opinion.

 

In all honesty, I really don't think gender would balance out anything.

But I think everyone else pretty much covered everything else I had to say.

 

We also would prefer people to give us some notice such as the report button, rather than spamming the thread because a member felt it was necessary to spam what another member was doing wrong, which really actually doesn't help get rid of the problem as much. =

Still, if you think that the chances are slim that you'll become a mod, you can still help out by reporting posts (using the button, preferably). Hardly anyone does, and it really makes the job easier.

yeah, we don't need more mods. and the reasons ppl like kaiso and cella are mods is because they have the perfect combination of being friendly, enforcing the rules, and being awesome

 

and as to why a teenage boy (DC) appoints loads of teenage girls to be the members close to him, you can guess :dodgy: lol

 

Yeah, like everyone else has stated before, there are more than enough moderators at the moment and other staff members like baylaust and DeathSkull3000 who help out.

 

@Koolkingdom: When you press that button, a small pop up appears and you state your opinion why you reported that poster or thread. That button is very helpful for us and also makes you look very contributive and helpful when you try to help us out.

Hinako's kind of right. Well, she is in the sense that you should report those things, but there are a lot of things that members probably don't think need to be reported. I'd say that you should report anything that you aren't quite sure about, too.

 

But anyway, I'm kind of surprised that no one ever asks to become an admin. Yeah, Danne and Aaron were obviously the creators of the site, but I find it strange that no males have thought to ask about administrators.

I'm only saying that because so many males ask to become moderators, an all-female job so far, rather than becoming administrators, where there have only been males. (And have more privileges, at any rate.)

Yeah you have to be a Female to be a Moderator, (I Mean Pink Title do i need to say more)

Plus there are plenty of mods. You can also Report a Post, a Mod or DChiuch or Aaron will check the post.

Also you cant ask to join the sites staff.

You can get a Custom Title though by being a Good Member or by helping DChiuch and/or Aaron in someway.

 

Coded to be a Admin you would need the Software, and need to know HTML to edit the site.

Eh just clearing some stuff up. No one's going to ever "become an administrator". The only reason that Aaron and I are admins, is that we created the website. So unless we ever sell or pass on ownership of KH13, which is very unlikely, there won't be a need for any new admins.

 

Now, I know you all love the whole "DC is a raging pedophile" joke, myself included, but it's not like I pick out mods based on their gender. Like Kaiso or someone said, mods are picked based on their qualities-- ability to enforce the rules, be friendly towards members, etc etc.

 

Every now and then we'll think "oh we need more mods", and at that time, we'd look at active members who possess the right qualities. So, you don't really apply; if you want to be a mod, just wait and maybe we'll ask eventually.

Pedophilia (or paedophilia) is a psychiatric disorder in adults or late adolescents (persons age 16 and older) for whom prepubescent children are the primary or exclusive blah blah blah.....

 

For me, adult=18 and there's only an age difference of 1-3or4 years so I don't see pedophilia between Daniel and his mods the mods.

Yeah, adding on to what Daniel said, we don't actually just choose mods because their female, it just happens that no male that at least i've seen has shown qualities needed to become a moderator. male mods have been suggested during times when we needed moderators, but they were turned down after discussion on them in favor of people that appeared to be more capable of the job. idk if that all made sense lolol

Next time any mods are chosen, they should be chosen that live in different time zones kinda like Clue, cos all the mods live in America meaning they cant mod 24/7. So people to be mods in different time zones should be considered, Cricket agrees with me about this.

lol time zones don't really matter. if you haven't noticed, most members live in america too or close to our time zones. while the mods in america are awake then we can mod whatevers going on while american members are on. then while we sleep, the other country people get on which means either dc or aaron get on.

 

anyway, not many people get on anyway while americans sleep lol. unless you're australian or from some other country with a really different time zone.

 

our opinion stays the same: we look for good qualities in mods not time zones or gender lol...

The Admins also watch the site like they do from time to time as well, so the time zone isn't much of an issue. =

 

Time zone and Gender, still won't really change our opinion on what makes a person a likely candidate to be a moderator.

But, seriously, is it really that big of a deal. All of the moderators are female. So what? They weren't picked because they're girls; they were picked because they were good members, and helpful contributors to the site. If, the next time a new mod is needed (which, as others have said, probably won't be anytime soon), there's a guy who seems like he'd be pretty capable, he'll most likely be at least considered.

I still like female mods... and would hope for it to stay that way
