Kairi's dress... I noticed something.

If we look at her, I see that if you zipped off the pink portion of the dress, I noticed that the result looks like Namine's dress.

watch dead fantasy 6 on youtube. it confirms what you say.

Other than being a white underdress, there's no real significance behind it or reason to think they're related.  Granted I can't see the image above cause it's broken.  Stand them side by side, Namine's dress is longer, where if Kairi was wearing the same one you would see the hem of it well below her mini-dress.  Kairi's appears to be a white halter neck top or top in general cause you don't see the hem of it at the end of her dress.  Kairi's has that ridged detail on the top looking lacey (and Namine has this similar detail on the hem of her dress), Namine has a straight cut across, square neckline, Kairi's straps are coming from under the actual shift (as if they're bra straps coming out from a tube top), Namine's is connected.  Kairi has more prominent shadows under her bust on her dress (making her look better endowed, the way her pink dress zips also has a similar effect).

MOVE ASIDE FOOLS, THE KAIRI EXPERT IS IN

Well duh, It's pretty obvious. :P Namine IS kairi; the nobody of Kairi. So it makes sense.

Caity is wrong. The hood is animated to look as though it is made of a heavy fabric, so in order to support the weight of the hood, it is a attached to a white dress that goes under the pink one.The pink one act's a-bit like a jacket around it. This is confirmed by the physics fact, that if the white part was a halter-thingy, it would just ride up from the weight of the hood. As chick I know this as a fact. It's just common sense, as a dress, the pulling affect of the hood wouldn't do anything, but on a top it just wouldn't work out.

You can see it well here:

Extra details:

The thick, white straps, go around her neck and are attached to the hood and appear to be sewn to the inside of the dress underneath. The white dress underneath stops just before the pink one that layers over it.

Kairi has a hood. 0_0 How could I have never noticed before. And simply put, if you actually inspected both dresses you'd know, unless if it is modified Kairi's under dress isn't Namine's dress.

Yes, it's not Namine's dress exact, but it's similar :P

Also, dude, how did you not notice the hood, it's black for goodness sake, lmao x D

I think we're taking clothing too seriously.

So, Sora having a spot on his arm, Aqua's boobs, and Kairi's underwear, etc... was more serious? x D

Honestly though, character designs are important stuff :P

And i know even more than this about Kairi's and Sora's designs nyhehehe. I could go on for hours

Lol I understand character design in general, but we're here studying the physics of each individual clothing.

I know, but i had to prove the point that it was a dress

Fictional character clothing physics ain't no joke, son.

A scientific debate on video game character's clothing (characters who are designed by a man who has a tendency to say "Screw physics needs more belts/zippers" at that) is just what I needed in the morning. xD

ok kairi has clothing on but now we must find out whats under xP

This Thread... I approve xDBut since I don't know the correct terminology for the different areas of a dress, I'll leave this to the experts [girls mainly. I know my place...]
