Square Enix Japan finished the PSOne Classics almost two years ago, while North America & Europe still need to finish theirs.

 

And as for Virtual Console releases, they have six games to cover and all they have left to do is the NES version of FINAL FANTASY III for 3DS. North America and Europe won't even touch the Nintendo eShop.

Yeah, I pointed that out. And they've got the first two on the 3DS eShop. I believe VI has been on the Wii U eShop since like June. 

 

I don't get it either. North America & Europe only have the three games to release and yet they haven't done it. Makes no sense.

Square Enix have 6 FF games available on the Virtual Console. Although I checked and apparently Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest is getting put on the Wii U VC in the coming days so I guess that'll make 7 games.

 

 

Though if we include all of the games SE have put on the VC than:

For the Wii they've published 21 games. For the the 3DS they've published 9 games. For the Wii U they've published 16 games.

 

 

Bottom line is, it's Japan that's why they get more games.

It's not a problem of getting the games. They've already been released in those countries it's just a matter of putting out an emulated version which is easy.
