what console had the best launch?

Posted

for me it i could imagine it was the dreamcast. i was like 1 when it launched but i heard about it and it looked AMAZING! (I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE JAPANESE LAUNCH!!!!) i heard that it launched with the PERFECT amount of hype and with TONS of amazing games. what console do you think had the best launch?

Its between the PlayStation 2 and the Wii

The PS2 was  hyped up so much that it took sales from the Sega Dreamcast before it( PS2)  even came out. DVDs was a BIG thing back then so I can understand why.

The Wii introduced something different and the marketing for it was extremely well done. The Wii was sold out for the holidays for its first 3 years.

The PlayStation 4 also had a great launch.

I don't really know the history of console launches well but the PS4 blew the firetrucking roof off with it's launch sales.

There are probably more consoles that have done better but that's a nice recent example of a very successful launch.

PS2.

PS2 Easily.

The Wii of course,it launched with Twilight Princess the best game ever made

The PlayStation 4 did. It broke records.

I'm pretty sure he isn't talking about just sales.

Well sales are the most important thing for the people who actually make the consoles, so It doesn't really matter.
