Today I tried to sell my ps2 to get a few games and the person at the register said,"We don't accept ps2's anymore." I wonder why

They won't sell in Gamestop, people looking for used consoles that are 2 gens old are more likely to check online than go in store.  

Because they have to get the new stuff in otherwise it will be sitting there forever. My gamestop actually doesn't have Nintendo Wiis anymore or games they getting rid of ps3 and xbox360 games next year.

EB Games and GameStop stopped accepting PlayStation 2 consoles and games in 2012. They did it because everyone who wants one has one (157 million units sold).

Sell it at ebay.  You will get more than half of the money that gamestop gives..

Since they don't make PS2s anymore, its officially dead  by trying to sell it to Gamestop. I still have mine and I won't sell it.
