They're currently recording the English voice acting for the new Re:coded cinematic story videos. They finished the Japanese version of these cinematic story videos in March and the HD remasters were finished in December last year. 

 

It's pretty clear they're simply delaying the Japanese version's release now so it's closer to the English version's release. Square Enix are known for delaying releases, the English version of HD 1.5 ReMIX for example was finished before E3.

Because that's the normal thing to do? FINAL FANTASY games usually release on the same day worldwide or just 2 or 3 months later.

To avoid impatient people from other countries importing, taking business away from the respective PAL and NA Square Enix?  Least that's what I'd assume.  Or to stop people from other countries complaining OMG JAPAN'S GOT IT NOW WHERE'S MINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, if they're only a month or so apart.

They're working on it. And Australia releases are usually only 1.5 days after North America now.

To be fair though, lately there have been a lot more months in between releases for Kingdom Hearts games at least. Still, if they did start releasing them closer together, I wouldn't be surprised if it was due to popular demand.

That's not actually the case. Re:coded was three months later. Kingdom Hearts 3D was four months later. HD 1.5 ReMIX was finished before E3 they just decided to wait till September.

I heard the English version of Birth by Sleep was finished months in advance.

 

But nah, they wouldn't. I'd expect it to release around the same time.

I can't wait until it finally comes out. Another Kingdom Heart's game to add to my collection!  :biggrin:
