The next batch of CoroCoro information has been posted to Japanese forums and this batch showcases more information about the upcoming games. This reveals Mega Sceptile, Swampert and Diancie. Mega Sceptile is Grass/Dragon-type while the others maintain their type. Mega Diancie's ability is currently listed as ??? while Mega Sceptile has Lightning Rod and Mega Swampert has the ability Swift Swim. 
Groudon & Kyogre's new "Mega Evolutions" are known as Primal/Prehistoric/Primeval Groudon & Primal/Prehistoric/Primeval Kyogre and are said to be a regression called Ancient Devolution. Steven Stone returns and also appears to have a Mega Charizard X and is after the secret for Mega Evolution
Both the Mach and Acro Bike make a return in this game and Team Aqua & Team Magma both return as well. Team Magma is lead once again by Maxie, and his Admins: Tabitha & Courtney. Team Aqua is lead by Archie and his admins Matt and Shelley, all of whom have been redesigned. Like the originals the team you face varies depending upon the game
The Mega Evolution activating item in this game is the Mega Bangle.

Team Aqua's redesigns are 10x better than their old ones. Team Magma's redesigns are okay but damn Team Aqua now I am happy for for picking Sapphire.

I didn't like the main character designs that much, but they are still alright nonetheless.

I don't like that Steven has Mega Charizard X, isn't he the Steel Type Champion/former Champion? Why in the world does he have a Charizard, he could of gotten Aggron's Mega Evolution.

Also Prehistoric Pokémon seem extremely fun, its like devolution.

I think the whole Mega Charizard X thing with Steven is just for a tutorial at the beginning of the game(similar to how Sycamore for some reason had a Mewtwo in the X&Y demo)after that I'll doubt he'll use that Mega Charizard X again

I really don't like the redesigns of Brendan and May... I know they just updated their looks to asimilate newer generations but still... The eyes... I always thought they were dark brown for both, but now I see them gray?! It'll take time to get used to them...

You can't make however, 5 threads on 5 different parts of the same news batch. So I made this thread just before that can happen, and to share all the news that were announced of course.

Lovin' these redesigns.

Good thing I was going for Treecko as my starter, as I used Swampert as my Red Rescue Team main and Blaziken for Emerald*.

Not really a fan of the new Team Magma and Aqua designs, but I'll get used to them.

I...am NOT impressed. Prehistoric Kyogre and Groudon? I was hoping for Alpha Kyogre and Omega Groudon. That SUC--*Brrzt*

 

 

Okay. I am...surprised. 

Good thing I was going for Treecko as my starter, as I used Swampert as my Red Rescue Team main and Blaziken for Emerald*.

Not really a fan of the new Team Magma and Aqua designs, but I'll get used to them.

 

I was going to go with Torchic but Treecko really looks good.

I might just pick him regardless, I used Torchic during Emerald.

I like the redesigns, for the most part. Dunno how I feel about May's bandana turning into a hairband thing, but at least Brendan gets to keep his hat that always causes debates on if it's his hair or not. Either way they're both better than Ethan and Lyra (r.i.p. Kris the coolest Pokemon protag ever, after Hilda), although May really needs to see a doctor about fixing that pigeon toe.I really like Aqua's redesign, though. Not so much with Magma.

Brenden's new look is a bit weird to me too, can't pinpoint why, but its just a bit underwhelming. Not as much as May though.

I'll probably pick Brenden unless they decide to put trainer customization into the game (which I think they will).

The leaders were memorable, but the grunts weren't. Heck all I knew about was Tabitha and that was because of its name.

That's because you fight them twice the entire game, Emerald I think 3 times for Magma.

Now i think about it , that prehistoric evolution have some resemblace to primal dialgia

 

 

 

I wonder if it team magma and team aqua would use them against players like N assuming the story changes .

Im thinking that the reason Brenden and May look so different is because of trainer customization like as a base form so u can customize them how u want

Not liking the redesigns for Brendan and May but oh well. It's more that I don't like the artwork though.

I see May goes Rin Kagamine style with her hairband lol
