VGO - Video Game Orchestra has revealed that their SoundtRec Boston recording division worked on Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX's soundtrack.

 

The beautiful music of Yoko Shimomura was orchestrated by their creator/producer Shota Nakama and is being mixed by their incredible engineer, Falk Au Yeong.

Is this the same team that worked on the 1.5 soundtrack? If not, who did 1.5?

I'm honestly really glad to see that production for Kingdom Hearts games is being taken outside of Japan, sounds like their aiming to do an even better job with the score than the team Yoko had going.. Can't wait!!

Let's hope that these guys do the soundtrack justice. 

Even if Yoko's not in charge of this re-orchestration, the music still comes from.her. I'll just be ecstatic to hear it with live instruments.

The trailers' soundtrak was already reorchestrated? It wasn't, right?

Yes  it's only the songs that weren't orchestrated that are getting the treatment.

 

Working Together, The Encounter, and the Menu trailer music were already orchestrated (The first two tracks probably being recycled from BBS)

Oh snap, my ears will be gloriously filled up with the majestic sound of music we shall be hearing in 2.5!  God, I want the game already so bad!  The wait for it boggles my mind! X_X

I contacted VGO and they said that they worked with Yoko very carefully on this. They said that they are almost done.
