Ever since E3, Nintendo Wii U sales have increased! Many speculate that due to the success of the Nintendo conference, many fans are excited about the new Zelda title, as well as Smash Bros. I personally thought Nintendo did a great job at E3, and I may go out and buy a Wii U now myself. I was waiting for a new Zelda game, but I can pass the time with Mario Kart and Smash Bros. until then. What do you guys think of the news? Were you expecting Nintendo to do so well at E3?

The numbers VGChartz have up are for MAY. This is because of Mario Kart 8, not E3.

Yeah,

Though I'll wait for the numbers of June cuz Mario Kart 8 was released waaay later in May almost 2 days before the month end so I'll wait for the June numbers

Agreed, I wonder if it'll outsell Watch Dogs's best performing platform.

I'm amazed that MK8 made it to the #2 position in May in just two DAYS. Pretty impressive, if you ask me.

I am happy for Nintendo this is what they needed for the Wii U.

Because of Mario Kart 8 not E3. Though I wouldn't be surprised if E3 news does spawn some sales. Due to E3 and MK8 I've decided to pick up a Wii U either this week or next week.

The fact that the 3DS version of Smash Bros is coming out before the Wii U version makes me skepticle whether it would push more Wii U sales, but if nothing else the Bayonetta 1+2 compilation and Xenoblade Chronicles X have gotten me interested into buying a Wii U early next year.

Well, this is no surprise considering that Nintendo's main underdogs are steering the sales of the system, and that's not a bad thing.  Mario Kart 8 is amazing and gorgeous, Hyrule Warriors looks to make us nosebleed, Smash Bros. will blow our brain cells, and Zelda U will be a smash hit success.  I will agree though, when it comes to Nintendo, these guys always know how to play their secret weapons when the time is right. :3
