At four points around the mountain known as Evraius the Teragren captains went over the situation once more to be sure there was no confusion; this was a volunteer mission, there was a high risk of death, and once the climbers passed the Teragen gates onto the premises of Evraius they were no longer under the protection of the Teragren army, and nobody would help but the rest of their team members.Of the 19 volunteers that passed the test to be accepted into the Evraius mission there were now four teams, each of 4 or 5 people. The army had brought them to the four gates that separated Evraius from the Kingdom of Teragren. The strategy was that they may be more effective if they could split the Kamyn attention and thus have a better survival rate. Now the four teams sat at their respective gates, facing the world changing mountain that would be their future; Evraius. The teams were split up in the following ways:Gold Team, made up of Drale Vay, Amber Dolor, Cornelius Bastion, and Sandrew.Silver Team, made up of Sonya Bishop, Kinzoku Mors, Averain, and Jasper SummersIron Team, made up of Alice Thornsberry, Emert Berger, Morgan Etiam Vinctum, and Doctor Pellinore WartropPlatinum Team, made up of Apollo, Lance Alburght, Varion Hain, Fairy, Aya Kozakura, Sairi KozakuraEach of the gates rumbled opened painfully and slowly, with a history of destruction and cruelty beyond their metal bars."Okay." Each captain spoke to the respective teams as they mounted their horses once again and steered back toward the road."You all have 5 minutes to greet your new teammates and enter the gates. The magical locks will automatically close them again after that point. There won't be any returning until you have something substantial to return with." The gist of each captain's parting words were. They had all rehearsed together so the information would be similar for each group. It also helped mask the fear. And then each group was left alone, each with a gate and a beaten dirt path beyond it sitting before them. It was time to start the introductions and get going. It was time to start the climb.Watching every gate through spectral projections, Adriev pondered. He stood in a pure white room with 5 others. After watching the four teams for a few moments he turned to his peers: Efenton, Girver, Dante, and Vortimer. Only one was missing."So..." He spoke slowly, weighing every word. "What shall we do about this?"

Kinzoku stepped forward. She still hadn't said a word, which was quite unlike her, just in general. If one were to look at her, they would see that she was acting weird. Blank expression, awkward movements. And... we're her eyes golden? What was happening to the usually upbeat mage? She put her hand on the orb, and before anyone could say anything, focused magic into it.

(Woah, things just got intense.)

The ink mage was certainly surprised when Kinzuko activated the orb. In the short time he'd known his teammates, he expected to get along the best with her. Sadly, that wasn't an option. For whatever reason, Kinzuko risked the safety of the mission and the lives of six people, apparently without a second thought. Sadly that meant she couldn't be trusted, which meant she had to be dealt with. Jasper summoned Silver Serpent, and caused it to encircle Kinzuko's neck, only two inches from her flesh. One wrong move, and he'd tighten the loop, decapitation his teammate. Sure, she could manipulate mettle, but since his weapon was enchanted, she wouldn't be able to control it... probably. "Explain." he said coldly.

(Sanya is going to give up and fly off SIlver team. Onwards to....that looked promising.

Flying towards a promising location, Sanya noticed a huge rock pile and people climbing it (Iron Team). Seeing the black tower, Sanya hid in the clouds, using the enhanced eyesight to see everything. Hm...

Sighing to herself, she calmly began to feel the wind. With it whipping around, she began to speed it up, forming hurricane force winds, which she aimed at the tower. She flung it faster and faster, so soon it would be crashing against the entire rock face by now with an indiscriminate rage.

Ferro swiftly lengthened his step to get in front of Amber. The man with the shield should always be in the front. As he moved, the platform Sandrew was on floated through the air to remain a couple yards behind Ferro. "Ugh, I hate the dark!" exclaimed Birgitte. "C'mon, Birgitte! Just pretend we're spelunkers." Chips said cheerfully. Ferro didn't pay much attention to them; he was focused on scanning the darkness beyond the light of the orb.

Silver

The trapdoor unlocked above them, and the gate at the end of the tunnel slowly grinded open. On the other end was  a huge metallic room that was entirely white. There was a single door at the other end of the huge room, but it seemed to have no handle. The moment the gate opened some sort of magical lighting appeared all around the room.

Platinum

As the group continued to resupply and talk a rumbling started further up the mountain. It got louder... and louder. Soon it became evident that is was coming closer. Before anyone could realized what was going on a huge boulder slammed into the shack knocking almost every member to the ground, but luckily hitting one of the shack's supports and sliding off in another direction. The utter destruction of the shack that it had caused though, allowed the group to see up the mountain, where a huge wave of rocks and dirt was flying down towards them. In the very front were 4 gigantic boulder, rocketing down the mountain at them.

Within 5 seconds they would all be crushed to death if they didn't act immediately....

Iron

As they continued the trek up the rocks, the tower before the Iron team was d suddenly hit by a mysterious figure at a ridiculous speed. The top of the tower broke apart, and came tumbling down the mountain, down the cliff... Several hundred pounds of brick and stone...

Coming right at everyone in Iron.

Kamyn

Adriev smiled at Kinzoku's choice as he stood looking over the projections in his white room. He noted the presence of some of the other Kamyn as he watched.

"Tell me..." he asked the dieties of his who were not currently engaged with the humans. "Do you think this is the right course, to continue to play with them and let them gain some more ground? Some of them certainly seem to have more strength and conviction than I had anticipated." He turned back towards Girver, Efenton and Vortimer.

"I have come to realize that not all of you are as dedicated to our cause as I want to believe. So speak your truths now, are you prepared to continue doing what needs to be done with these pieces of filth before they become too much of a threat? To us and themselves."

Ryu noticed the boulders first and quickly took flight above the boulder. Watching the destruction from above, he quickly looked for any survivors he could prey on. Ryu then noticed four more boulders shooting down the mountain at a fast pace. "Must've been from Adreiv." Ryu sighed. Ryu stood in the air in plain eyesight to spectate the actions of the humans. He wanted to test their skill in this trivial situation. He didn't want to waste his time fighting them if they were weak. Ryu folded his arms and awaited the result of such a challenge.

"I just wanted to see an extent of what properties each group possess.  Honestly, It would be for the best to obliterate the fools before they become anything of great concern."  Griver replies, juggling his orb between his hands.  He stops, looks to the projections, then to Adriev, answering:  "But I think we should let them go for a little while longer.  There is something I find somewhat intriguing with these bands of humans, though I'm not entirely sure what it is.  Of course we can't let their climb of the mountain be all so easy.  I haven't had my own fun with them yet, so I'll go down.  Doesn't matter which group it is, as long as I fight, I'll make to give them an 'exciting' time, ha ha."

Sick and tired of waiting for the group to come out of the shed, Ryu stood up and began to turn his back. "Let them rest, I will deal with them when they get out," Ryu spoke in a soft tone. Suddenly, a nasty plot conjured itself in his mind. Ryu smiled deviously as he turned back at the tiny shed. "This will end things better," Ryu spoke in words that could only be understood with the passage of time. Ryu walked past the shed and made his way towards the gates. "Alfeduir Birsingr is coming to town," Ryu smiled evilly.

Varion:

"Boulders!" Varion shouted, flying to the ground as a few more of the massive rocks and rolled in their direction. Varion slammed his palms into the ground, causing a wall of earth to rise up high up into the air. It reached about ten feet in height before it stopped. Varion grunted, trying to make the wall as thick and as impenetrable as possible. The rocks kept coming towards them, and he glanced at the others, "A little help!? I don't know if this wall will stop them!"

Emert:

"So it seems that we have yet another obstacle in our path.." Emert hissed, glancing around as the rubble came down for them. That tower had been torn apart...and it didn't seem to be caused by another monster. Someone was trying to impede their progress. Emert grabbed his swords and began to slash the air. Waves of energy went through and slammed into the rubble. Emert continued to try and clear the air of the impending rubble, and grunted as it became increasingly difficult.

"We must make haste and continue up! We have no choice or we'll be buried!"

Cathos~~~~~

A strange man suddenly materialized, standing on some sort of grey, squishy, slimy solid that floated in the air, with a purple swirling where the edges of the platform were. Two spots of that purple energy appeared and two huge tentacles made of the same grey substance as the platform came out of the energy, slicing two large swathes out of the falling rubble. They reared back to do it again. Cathos had arrived just in time. He had seen this avalanche of stone and earth during the projection of the future he had seen while plumbing the being's knowledge. He formed a fist of mental force in his mind and used it to punch another hole in the rubble as the tentacles removed two more slices.

(I don't know what you mean on "killing", Sora's Baby.  I just put up that Griver is fine with attacking any group, not Platinum specifically, unless he's ordered to.)

"If my duplications get hurt, I won't. Yet they have the same strength as me." Aya said, she started multiplying herself rapidly, the duplicates running towards the boulders to stop them. There were about a hundred of them, so they would slow them down.

Sairi looked at the real Aya, grabbing onto her sleeve.

"Aya..what if we die?" Sairi asked.

"What?!" Aya asked with a laugh.

"I won't let that happen little brother. Don't worry about it." She said with a smile.

"That Alchemist again huh?" Ryu said. He held out his hand to release a wave of vibrations that distorted the wall of earth and transformed it into liquid mud. The wall collapsed. Ryu folded his arms. "He's gotta die first. Or else, Adriev might have a problem," Ryu said to himself. The disaster was still continuing. Ryu watched from above where anyone can see.

"Curses." Aya snapped, realizing that they were now in the path of the boulders.

"Aya...I have an idea." Sairi said, looking at Aya.

Aya was multiplying herself as Sairi spoke.

"Out with it." She said seriously.

"I can make these boulders become smaller." Sairi said.

Aya sent another about hundred duplications towards the boulders.

"You can do it Sairi." Aya said with a smile.

Sairi started forming a large, strong fireball in his hand, and shot it towards an oncoming boulder. When the fire and boulder hit, the boulder burst into smaller rocks.

"Awesome job Sairi!" Aya said with a smile.

Kinzoku didn't say anything for a while, just stood there with her golden eyes and poker face. Then, without any sort of warning, Kinzoku collapsed onto the floor. She lay there for a few moments, then her eyes fluttered open, back to normal. She smiled easily at Jasper and Tristan who stood over her. "Oh, hey." The Mage said, then yawned. "What happened?" She began to question, and looked around her. Then she caught sight of the orb. It was lit up, having been activated. Oh crap. Oh no. Her expression immediately turned surprised. She looked up to the other two. "Did one of you..." Her voice trailed off as she saw the hostile expressions on their faces. Then it all clicked. Her blacking out, the activated orbs, mean friends... This was terrible. Kinzoku backed up against the wall, and held her knees to her head like a scared little girl. Her normal bravado had vanished, replaced by a sense of fear of something terrible, above the girl's control. The curse had taken hold of her. Well, she needed to explain to the others.

"I'm so sorry, I never meant to do anything like that... It's just..." Kinzoku took a deep breath before she devolved into a mess of weeping. "I'm an orphan. Left on the doorstep of a magic academy. When they found me, they decided to raise me. Normally I was a happy and cheery baby. But on occasion, I'd do terrible things. Break valuable items, hit other babies, other things. It only grew worse as I grew older. And when I returned to normal, I'd claim to have no idea what had happened. Then they would punish me for lying and for the thing that I had done. But eventually, they seemed to realize that I wasn't lying. The professors tried to find a trace of magic on me. They found a curse, one that had been there since birth. On occasion, the curse would take hold, my normal conscious would black out, and my body would be possessed by an evil will. Since it had been on me for such a long time, they could do nothing to help. But they tried anyway, and eventually repressed it with the help of a psychiatrist, healing magic, and magic medicines. It's been years since I had a blackout, so I thought it would be fine if I went on the expedition." The whole time Kinzoku had been speaking, she had had her head buried in her knees. But now she looked up at Jasper and Tristan, her expression pleading. "I'm so sorry. I would never do something like that normally..." She said, apologizing again for something she had no control over.

(I really am sorry. I planned to reveal the curse thing later as a twist, but MDS gave us a choice much sooner than I had anticipated. I rolled a die and well, it didn't go in your favor platinum team.)

The Doctor had been climbing the rocks just on foot, continuing to write in his book as he went. Then he heard something collapse, and a lot of moving rock. "Please don't be another Vivo Lapis..." The Doctor muttered, as he looked up from his book. He saw the rubble coming towards him. "I am really not sure whether this is better or worse than a Vivo Lapis." The Monstrumologist muttered, summoning his Ciful again. He hopped onto the huge insect, and they took off. They weren't in the air long before a large gust of wind hit them, knocking the Doctor off, and the Ciful vanished with it's master out of range. The Doctor fell onto the rocks. "That was less than graceful." The Doctor said under his breath, before focusing again. A large piece of rubble was about to crush him into the ground. The Doctor reacted quickly, opening his tome to a dog-eared page. A Vukodlak appeared in front of him. The magnificent creature was anatomically similar to a bear and a wolf, but was much larger than both, closer to the size of a stagecoach. The Vukodlak blocked the rubble, and held it in place long enough for the Doctor to escape it's path of destruction. As soon as the Doctor was out of the way, the Vukodlak dashed out of the way, letting the rock continue down the mountain. Soon, the creature ran over to the Doctor. Warthrop smiled at the creature, and scratched it behind the ear. Honestly, this beautiful creature was the most faithful of all his various species. It really was similar to the domesticated dogs most people had as pets, but was much larger, and a bit more bloodthirsty. Aside from that, exactly the same.

Varion:

(And now time to avoid many mini proyectiles coming at us.)

"Whoaah!" That was Lance´s reaction to the upcoming boulders, lucky for them, Apollo´s wall and Aya and Sairi´s idea destroyed the boulders, the bad side of it... many proyectiles coming at us..."Oh oh... welp... time to act!" Lance shouted as he used his spear, moving it on circles, in a moment a wind barrier was blocking the mini rocks falling, yet still , there was not much air available for him. "Apollo! Think you can cover us!?"

"If it's the fate of the world....why not?The moment when mankind enters our Dominion, they sealed their fate. They cling to a dim hope, and they trust themselves along with the powers and comrades they have...but never forget....we,the God who rules this Mountain, this Land, this World, shall not be tolerated by some mere soldiers...and they will suffer the same end.....that is my answer..."

Vortimer answered the question to Adriev that he asked...

Looking to Kinzoku Tristan gave a slight node "Dont worry i believe i noticed the golden eyes so i figured something was up from the start" Suddenly drawing his sword to his side Tristan began to walk forward in the tunnel and towards the newly revealed room "From here on out i say what's ever done is done and there's no point lingering on the past all we can do now is hope the Platinum Team have what it takes to think and react fast so they can survive the landslide" slowly Tristan entered the newly revealed room as he did you looked to the others "By the way dont follow me in here till i confirm it's not another trap its better for only one of us to be trapped then all of us so I'll check things out in here first" turning away from his team mates Tristan walked further into the white room with his sword at the ready just to be safe "Alright Kamyn show me what trick you have for me next what ever it is all slice it in two and burn it to the ground" upon reaching the center of the room Tristan stopped walking and waited to see if the room would give him any form of reaction

Cathos~~~~~

Cathos looked up past the rubble and noticed a man floating close to the shattered tower. One of the Kamyn, unless he missed his guess completely. Speaking into the Kamyn's mind, he said "You have evaded the being for too long!" A giant hand shaped of the grey stuff appeared under the Kamyn and tried to grab him, even as Cathos formed and hurled a mental spear in an attempt to break into his opponent's mind. The tentacles cleared two more sections of rubble.
