Well I've noticed that Kingdom Hearts has been using the same two song openings. Simple and Clean remix by Utadu Hikari and Passion by Utadu Hikari (sorry if I spelled the artist name wrong).. The openings are great ,butI am kind of tired of them... What do you think...

Nomura said back when the game first came out that Utada was the only artist he envisioned singing for the series. Since she refused to work with Disney any longer (them being cheap and asking for too much), he has to make do with the songs she already contributed.

 

I don't really mind them, but I do agree that he has to do something about it. Either appeal to Disney and have them actually pay Utada what she deserves, or choose a new artist to write songs for the series. It's getting too repetitive.

But the main reason why they are recycling the same songs is because Utada decided to quit because she didn't get payed too well with a lot of money. She needs to come back! Some body should like write to disney or something. Cause without a new song. That's what is going to ruin the series. I mean, who wants to hear the same song over and over agian.

Just to clarify, Disney offered the same that they offered for the original four songs, Utada wanted more, though her husband spoke for her.

Reversal its no secret that the Disney half of KH isnt everyone's favourite half so its easier for people to turn Disney into the bad guy.

 

I've read that interview everyone has, its pretty obvious which voice is the deciding voice here, Hikaru is a big girl, but we know whose making the big decisions. Mr. Utada's "we" means "me".

 

Dont take what he said so seriously he said they worked at Disneyland thats like working in a glorified Windsors/Tesco hybrid I cant think they were paid a salary on pair with an artist.

 

Besides, despite the work being frustrating to translate her creativity as an artist was tested and blossomed, not to mention she must owe a lot of her success in the Western world to Disney, they could've just as easily gone for one of their cheaper go to Disney girls and done a sappy teen theme.

Yes, we should totally blame the father. How dare he speak up for his daughter and refuse Disney in an attempt to protect his kind hearted child from being taken advantage of, thus forcing us to listen to the same songs over and over again. It's simply outrageous!

Ur right Mr. Utada must should never be blamed for speaking for standing up for his Hikaru chan. Being forced to listen to the same song is a small concession to endure knowing Mr. Utada is looking out for his meal ticket's for Hikaru's integrity as an artist.

 

Lets also never forget the 150,000 jobs Disney have made with all those people savagely underpaid, especially Highlanders Disneylanders. Disney with their crimes against art (with me being a draughtsman being quite insulted) are soley responsible for this outrage

well..."I dont really care" is a little off cause I can see both sides. I love both the openings but it can be a little irritating that they never change it though. Even so if they did/didnt change it I would still love them!

Utada refused their offer for reasons which have already been mentioned several times in the thread. Basically, it's partially due to the fact that Disney was asking too much and not paying her enough, and how having to go through the stress and trouble of translating a song from one language to another, and causing the song to lose it's original meaning in the process was too much for her to go through. Though I guess if you want to "blame" someone, you can also put some on Nomura because he's very stubborn
